Judging by todays standards Floyd's win over Baldomir is totally legit.

I would like to see the 147 ring top 10 from the year Baldomir was top
It really must have been weak considering Baldomir had hardly any top wins, 6 fights before the one with Floyd he fought a guy with 42 losses
Pac has cleared out the major contenders at 147, now is looking for a shot at 154, Floyd fought the #1 contender at the time because it was Baldomir, he's shown recently his desire not to fight the top contenders at 147 because of the risk involved, so you believe he would have taken on Mosley if he was #1 at the time Baldomir was?Last edited by TRAV1$; 10-09-2010, 11:35 AM.Comment

Mayweather didn't even want this fight, he knew that would be a easy fight, he was trying to fight Cory Spinks instead to help prepare him for Oscar but you have HBO and fans hyping up Baldomir saying that "he has the POWER to KO Mayweather" blah blah blah and Mayweather took the fight and beat him easy
some of you value your opinions WAY TOO MUCH, just because YOU don't give him credit doesn't mean the next person won't, you have Boxing Fans and you have people who hate every Boxer besides their favorite BoxerComment

Add that with the fact Baldomir had a legitimate belt, and had beaten the guy Floyd had faced lastMayweather didn't even want this fight, he knew that would be a easy fight, he was trying to fight Cory Spinks instead to help prepare him for Oscar but you have HBO and fans hyping up Baldomir saying that "he has the POWER to KO Mayweather" blah blah blah and Mayweather took the fight and beat him easy

It was a legitimate fight, no reason for it not to happen
It's clearly not the best win on his record, going on Baldomir's accomplishments, but Floyd get's credit for facing him and winning
Margarito is a much bigger guy than Pac, at a higher weight, Pac deserves credit for facing him to
As far as who get's more credit... I'd say a win over Margarito at 151 is a greater achievement than Baldomir at 147.Last edited by TRAV1$; 10-09-2010, 11:46 AM.Comment

U have clearly misinterpreted the entire point of the tread!!I actually want Margarito to win!!The point in this tread is that if Margarito-Pacman can be accepted,so should Floyd's win over Baldomir, maybe u should have at least read the 1st page before posting!!Comment

Floyd called out Mosley before that, but Oscar wanted Floyd so Mosley backed out to give Oscar his chance,Floyd already proved to me he isn't afraid, nobody takes Mosley's best shots & bosses up on him immediately after, nobody,i don't care how old he was!!Further more Travis, the point of the tread is that people shouldn't criticize Floyd for fighting Baldomir then praise Pacman for fighting Margarito,my guy,if Pacman gets credit, then they should give Floyd his also!!I would like to see the 147 ring top 10 from the year Baldomir was top
