Judging by todays standards Floyd's win over Baldomir is totally legit.

Just seems so ****** to get so hang up in this. If you don't want to recognize the title then don't. The media would most likely do the job for you, anyway. But to say this is an easy fight for Pac is idiotic.

This is all about Bob Arum and partly Floyd. We could have been talking about Pac/Floyd right now. But special someone wanted no part of it. You know, this could be Arum's way of passing the torch as Pac's retirement is imminent. Arum could be rooting for Marg in this fight for all we know.

so what ur saying was, no matter how old Mosley is his best shot was always the same? if Floyd got hit with Shane's best shot 4-5 yrs ago it wouldnt make any difference? Shane's age caught up on him. its not an excuse its a FACT.

Saying that, they are just using his name and feeding him to Pac
The catchweight is fine, Margarito last fought at 154, Pac at 146... so 151 is perfectly fair
Margarito isn't a walk over, he's arguably a good style for Pac but it's not like they've set up a clear cut win for Manny to get the belt.

It's clearly not the best win on his record, going on Baldomir's accomplishments, but Floyd get's credit for facing him and winning
Margarito is a much bigger guy than Pac, at a higher weight, Pac deserves credit for facing him to
As far as who get's more credit... I'd say a win over Margarito at 151 is a greater achievement than Baldomir at 147.
I am a little confused by this,U see Travis 1st U agreed Margarito doesn't deserve this fight, right??But then U turn around & say that if Pacman beats Margarito at a catchweight for a vacant title,it's more credible than Floyd beating the welterweight champion Baldomir who earned his title by upsetting Judah, how is that??

Power is the last thing to leave,(if it ever does)!!But it took heart for Floyd to take those two Mosley bombs & boss up on him immediately after!!That is also a fact!!

I don't buy this though!!If pacman was passing the torch,it should be to a younger fresher fighter than Margarito, because quite frankly the only other winnable fight at 154 for Margarito right now is Cotto & that's only good for 1 fight!!Depending of course on how much Mosley took from him!!

People judge Floyd really harshly on here, pretty much any fighter of today can't stand up to the level which Floyd is judged.

That is what it is though, it has been this way for aslong as I have been around here.

I agree,Floyd is held to a much higher standard than most other boxing mega stars!!I can say though that I hold all fighters to high standards like when the Punisher was acting shady about fighting Sergio,I was ready to jump ship!!Other fight fans eat up whatever their favorite fighter does, even if they know deep down that it's bull****!!
