Please dont take everything Kushner says as gospel. He is a sly operator and a boxing promoter, he has to talk up his fighter. I'm not so sure the deal went down like that.

First things first, i love the Tuamanator and to disrespect him is ignorant and to be honest, blasphemy, but he has no place in the ring with Klitschko. A rematch with Barrett is the best option for him as long as he gets in shape to go 12. He looked like a beast against Cameron and Ahunanya but fell over with Barrett and showed his age.

What does lowballing even mean in this situation? Wlad's the recognized heavyweight champion of the world, head and shoulders above everyone else. It should be an honour to even get the chance to fight him. If you're flat out scared of getting your head caved in then fine, I can understand that, but don't whine about not getting the money you think you deserve after doing sweet FA to warrant earning it.

The more I look at it the more evident it seems to me that Tua has no intention of ever fighting higher than washed up bum level. Maybe he thinks he can make more money fighting seven or eight of these tubby jokers than he would getting demolished by Wlad in one fight and suffer probably a career ending beating. Maybe he's right, but as far as him being in any way, shape or form a legitimate HW contender those days are forever in the past.

I've always been a fan of Tua as well but something changed after the Barrett fight. It struck me that Tua plain and simply doesn't have it any more. I realised I was little better than a Tyson fanboy, desperately hoping that the big knockout puncher still had one last chance to make history. That was the only reason I still followed his fights. But if a rematch with Monte Barrett is the extent of his boxing ambitions then I'm done with him, now and forever.

At this point in time, Mr I-Didn't-Know-That-Tommy-Gunn-From-Rocky-V-Was-A-Real-Boxer, Tua's jockstrap couldn't hold the spit from one of the Klits' sparring partners' spitbucket's jockstrap.

I have to agree. People got all excited when Tua annihilated Shane Cameron, but Cameron isn't much more than a club fighter. Tua couldn't put away Friday Ahunanya and IMO should have lost against Barrett after being penalized for low blows and getting knocked on his ass especially. Tua obviously thought he was going to blow Monte away in a couple rounds and wasn't ready to go late -- Barrett showed up in tremendous shape and Tua was in trouble.

Tua couldn't get inside on Lennox and he isn't going to get inside on Wlad without getting his head taken off.

Don't be ******. How many of their contracts have you seen? The only reason you hear so much about their contracts is because people are scared to fight them and need an excuse. Haye started it and now it's the standard reason for avoiding them. Briggs says he has been treated A+ by them and that the contract was fine. But if you want to bash them, you won't choose to believe him.

Seriously, Povetkin would have gotten $2.5 million had he found the heart and balls to step in with Wlad and take his mandatory position. Rahman got paid $1.2 million against Wlad, sure he got more against Lewis, but that was his biggest payday since then (he actually got less for Maksaev II when he was champion). Diva Gaye was offered 50/50. I am sure Tua got offered more than he just made against Barett and way more than he has made since the 1990s for one fight. They are not low-balling anyone, fighters are just scared of the Klitschkos, even if it means getting a shot at 4 belts.

That's an excellent analogy. I went to the Barrett fight thinking Tua was going to score a big KO, and I was shocked at what took place. Barrett really did train more like a demon for that fight, but nevertheless, he was supposed to not even be a speedbump for the Tuaman. Tua looked like he knew it was over at the end of that fight. I'll give him credit, he got knocked down and still got up and tried to win, but his punches lacked sting by the end of the night. He did land some hellacious body shots on Barrett early, but Monte took them well. Was Tua really hurt, or was Kushner just making excuses? Who knows.
