people saying Tua is washed up, i disagree i dont think he trained hard for barett like he did for cameron, he probably though like everyone else barett wouldnt last too long.

Barrett's physique for the Tua fight showed how hard he trained. He was in spectacular shape. Barrett in that kind of shape is a lot better than Cameron on Cameron's best night. If Tua didn't train hard for the fight, he made a very big miscalculation. Tua looked shocked early when he slammed some huge shots into Barrett's body and Barrett just took them. After that, it was downhill for the Tuaman, who ran out of gas in the middle of the fight.

According to Cedric Kushner, promoter for David Tua, a lowball offer killed a potential fight with WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Klitschko's team approached Kushner about securing Tua for a December 11 bout in Germany. Kushner said they were so far apart on the money that he saw no reason to continue the negotiations.

Tua is a fat lazy bum who got his ass whooped by old shot Barrett. Tua hasn't beaten anybody with a pulse since 2002. He's been padding his record with clubfighters and tomato cans.

"Lowball offer" is just a bullshit excuse to save face. Tua only fights bums. He dosen't have the balls to get in the ring with a Klitschko.

Very true. The contract stuff is a smokescreen. The only people who talk about contracts are the ones who don't want to fight in the first place. I've never seen so many fighters running from the champs instead of toward them in the history of boxing.

After both the Cameron and Ahunanya fights they asked Tua what was next, and both times he said, "I'm heading to Burger King for the night." He seemed very serious.

The result was his loss to Barrett.

Tells you something about where Tua's head is at. If he was serious, he'd be foregoing the cheeseburgers and fries and hiring a nutritionist to try and make one more shot at the title.
