That's a pretty sweet article on Nunn, I think I've read it before a while back. Nunn really was a special fighter. But the idea that he was ducked by Jones at LHW is a stretch. Nunn had a nice comeback run at 175 before he lost to Rochigianni. I can think of a couple people Jones avoided, Vasily Jirov and Antonio Tarver. The Nunn who had lost a couple steps wasn't one of them.Comment

That was just a joke. It's fights like the Frazier one that turned hardcore fans off to Jones. Of course, those same people called for him to fight a Michalzewski who spent his time fighting Jones leftovers and guys like Nicky Piper.Comment

Maybe Nunn was lying but was their any serious effort at negotiations on either side?
That's what I can't find.
He fought Montell and Virgil Hill in around that era and they both were very good, just don't know how it all went down.Last edited by Guest; 09-30-2010, 09:50 PM.Comment

The other side probably doesn't realize there are a horde of kids on the net who think Jones ever ducked Nunn, jreck. Just a thought. Michael Nunn fought Graciano Rochigianni for the title and lost. Rochigianni was then wrongly stripped of that belt. In turn, Jones offered Rochigianni a fight which he pulled out of for "personal reasons." End of story.Comment
