or if he had a better promoter in his prime , he could have won a paper belt like david haye.

    It's Tua's fault.

Michael Moorer won a Heavyweight title.

Johny Ruiz won a heavyweight title.

He dispose these 2 in less than 3 minutes.

      LMFAO

he has better wins than haye.
meant to say far wind, not win.

Its unbelivable that tua managed to not win a title after lewis retired

for who was around at the time?

        yes his resume was great.

problem is he had very few big names.

these guys underrate his hopkins and toney wins.

of course he'll get no credit for his other solid , good wins.

it is tua's fault for getting fat.

that said , he was a top 10 contenter for several years and get 1 title shot?

          that's a joke.

Agreed. Jones made the mistake of moving up to no man's land. His only options for a big fight was to move up to HW or wait for some star to climb to 175. HBO tried to manufacture stars for him (William Guthrie) but that never panned out. It looked like he might have a superfight with Tito but when Hopkins killed those plans and they couldn't come to terms for a fight, he had no choice but to move to HW.

Roy has a sold resume but the resume of people he didnt fight is more impressive.

honestly i was surprised at how he beat reggie johnson...i thought reggie would give him serious problems...prior to the fight everybody thought reggie would put him down...especially after how he put guthrie out with the right hook...everybody claimed jones was ducking guthrie..

Funny, I just mentioned Guthrie in my previous post. 6'2, enormous southpaw, undefeated with power in both fists. Overrated. But plenty of hype and was supposedly the man Jones was ducking. I believe he was trained by Roy Sr at the time but I could be wrong. Anyway, yeah Johnson crushed him. And then Roy went out, knocked Johnson down twice and won every second of every round going away.

I never understood why you didn't like a ko artist like Valero.

                      I thought you liked punchers.

And Caballero went thousands of miles to take people's titles.

And Tarver had an awesome fight with Reggie Johnson.
