The fight was nonsense, even Calzaghe admits that. He should of fought Pavlik or Glen Johnson instead
How many people would want to watch that, the first fight was terrible?
Fair enoughComment

Yes, but that's what he chose to go out with. What a hero.
Since when does that mean there shouldn't be a rematch? Yeah, because so many people were dying to watch Jones-Calzaghe instead. So much so that HBO hasn't finished counting their losses. How many people would want to watch that, the first fight was terrible?Comment

I never said it was. I just cant see how anyone could accuse Benn of ducking him
As for Eubank he had his belt and Sky contract, so he wasnt interested in fighting anyone to Sky's dismay. It was only after he lost to Collins twice(and lost his contract) and the tax man was on his case that he started looking for big fights. Jones was right, Eubank needed to at least have a belt or a decent win to make the fight happen
lmao

Good for them. Jones one-upped them at 168 and had a far better career. Although I'm sure they aren't shedding any tears.I never said it was. I just cant see how anyone could accuse Benn of ducking him

We're gonna tie you in a chair and force you to watch Jones-Telesco over and over and overlmao

Calzaghe resume is a mess, no one can deny that
Would you pay to see it?
Calzaghe-Hopkins was a flop as well, Golden Boy had to return the site fee to the thomas and mack center so they could make up the money they lost. I think I also read that Calzaghe and Hopkins also agreed to take a pay cut to smooth things over with other people who may have lost money as well
Jones hasnt been relevant since 2004, it was a disaster on paper. They only have themselves to blame. Calzaghe Hopkins most probably would of been a flop alsoComment

True.
Benn left with his health and money in the bank and im sure he has a lot of good memories as well
Eubank left with his health in check, but is in debt to the tax-man for something like 1m
lmao

Nice debating with you dude, I'm out of this thread, no hard feelings
"See" you around

True that.
The same way I would pay to watch Whitaker-Chavez IIWould you pay to see it?
In other words, take a meaningful fight for little money or a meaningless fight for little money.
