So what chance does Manny have of a 50-50 or 65-45 split if he does 700K buys with Paul Williams?

The same chance he had with Joshua Clottey.

Not really. Again Top Rank has 2-3 months to promote this, a 24-7 and a wider selection of opponents, so there is no excuse for doing poor numbers.

Clottey was taken on short notice, due to the elections, so it's somewhat justifiable for doing poor numbers. That situation is completely different than it is now....unless you just want to flame, which is what you are obviously doing right now.

I will give you this.....you sure know how to stink up a thread with your non-stop flaming. Props on that

Yeah. And none of that horse**** or cornball thumbs-up changes the truth. Which is...in spite of EVERYTHING you just said, they went ahead and tried to negotiate a fight anyway. So what is your point? Think a little harder this time.

Negotiate which fight? Clottey or Margarito?

Yes they did. That situation was clearly different than this one, and there are no excuses for doing poor numbers this time around.

Clottey was the best opponent, giving the small window and other top guys being tied up around that time, so there was really nothing Top Rank could do as far as positioning themselves to do big PPV numbers.

Honestly we are arguing something that is obvious and plain common sense. For this very reason I know you are doing nothing more than flaming for argument sake.

I'm bored so I'm looking at you and this topic as nothing more than entertainment.

there is no point in pac-williams at 147. we all know what happened when pac fought dela hoya at 147, pac beat him easily but he never got the credit he deserved because oscar was weight drained.
pac-williams at 147 will only be legit if pac loses. if he wins, it's only because williams is weight drained.

                    Riiiight.

Thanks for your reply. Which changes NOTHING. Are you out of excuses as to why Manny would fight Margarito over a Williams? Like I said, Cotto or Chavez Jr is next. And a guy named Top Rank will surely defend it

Honestly that is why I kept telling No Ceilings that I would like to see Paul Williams face a top 5-6 guy at WW and look like the Williams of old. If that happens then I would love to see this fight.

What you said is true.....If Manny dominates him, the excuses will be that Williams was weight drained and how he fought 5 outta his last 6 (can't remember) at MW so why didn't Pacquiao fight him there. I agree with you 100% bro.
