Lennox was a great fighter, a guy with an outstanding Jab and a huge punch to stop a fighter when he wanted too (I have just watch Lewis Rahman II about 20 minutes ago, what a 1-2), but FOR ME, and this is my opinion, Ali would have been just TOO quick for Lennox. Yes Lennox would have jabbed him and kept that left hand in his face, but only when he could. Ali was speed agility and although not a KO puncher his punches would still have taken an effect on Lennox sooner of later, slowing him down and leaving him open for some more Ali punches. I would see it going to a UD to Ali.
Lewis vs. Ali - who would have won?

i Agree with Foreman, but i think LL would have beaten Ali, I'm sure it would have been a pretty boring fight, with LL using his Height and reach to Jab Ali all night, pretty much how Holmes did. I think Larry Holmes would have given Lewis a tougher fight than Foreman would have. Foreman just didn't have the skills to back up his huge power aganist the ''boxers''.Originally posted by TheGreat1i Agree with Foreman, but i think LL would have beaten Ali, I'm sure it would have been a pretty boring fight, with LL using his Height and reach to Jab Ali all night, pretty much how Holmes did. You guys are out of your minds! Lewis doesn't deserve to be in the same breath as Ali, let alone have people say he'd beat Muhammed. Wow.
Ali was too fast, too smart (whomever said Ali wasn't a smart fighter must have been through electro-shock therapy) and above all had too good of a chin.
The weight difference would become evident after 2 rounds when Ali would constantly circle and land 1-2's over and over again. Sure, Lewis has a good jab, but to Ali it would look like it's coming in slow motion.
This fight is over after 9 rounds of constant 1-2's. Accumulation of punches ends up being the reason for a stoppage.Comment

Bigger and heavier doesn't mean better. Ali would school Lewis.Originally posted by AnorakI often wonder, because we're in an age of Superheavies really... they might not be as skilled, but they're older, bigger and heavier than back in the day.Comment

Evil, you're a top bloke, I respect you - I even get the horn when I look at your messages because I still can't quite get it out of my head that that's NOT you in your avatar, BUT...Originally posted by elveielMuhammad Ali was the most overated boxer ever, he told everyone he was the best boxer ever and everyone believed him. I've gone well out of my way to watch him, i've even tried to like him but its always the same thing = i fall asleep watching him. He's so off balance when he circles the opponent one leg looks sorter than the other!!
I fully admit i favour the aggressive fighters but i'm a true boxing fan, i like to watch a defensive master just the same as i'd like to watch a ramaging puncher. IMO Floyd Mayweather is pure skill, IMO Muhammad Ali is pure overated!!
Lennox Lewis would beat Muhammad Ali.
This is WRONG. Ali is the greatest of all tahms! Of all tahms!!
I think Lewis's "jab" is overrated. It's not really a "jab" (as Larry Holmes once said) it's more sticking out a big telegraph pole in someone's face. It's huge, but it's not informidable. Ali by UD... maybe.Comment
