Ali would win this. Silly thread.
Lewis vs. Ali - who would have won?

People saying this would be an easy fight for Ali are being ridiculous.
The tale of the tape helps offset SOME skill disadvantages Lewis has vs. Ali, but I see this as a great fight that could easily go either way. It's one of my dream mythical matchups of all time. If I were making a list, it'd be top 3 at least, perhaps along with Tyson vs. Ali and Ray Robinson vs. PBF.Comment

BS!!! Ali takes any figher of all time. Tyson vs. Ali?? Did you not yet see Foreman vs. Ali. Power puncher all the way, worn out to the extent by Ali. Ali is too smart of a fighter for any heavyweight i've been privelaged to watch in my time.Originally posted by cupcrazy01People saying this would be an easy fight for Ali are being ridiculous.

Lewis was a pretty damn smart fighter, probably second only to Hopkins in this era.
The Tyson who blasted out Spinks was alot faster and more explosive (power) than the Foreman Ali beat...Comment

Factors:Originally posted by AnorakOkay, the old debate of Ali vs. Tyson always gets brought up, but what about Lewis vs. Ali?
I'd never suggest that Ali wasn't more skilled than Lewis, but... Lewis was a big, big guy. In his arguable peak he was averaging about 240lb, and although his chin takes some stick, it wasn't that bad, and Ali wasn't a particularly hard puncher. Sharper than Foreman, and arguably stronger, although Ali's the better boxer, could he do the job against Big Len?
Ali can take a punch. He took Shaver's, Norton's, Foreman's and especially took several from the hard hitting Frazier. Ali is fast. He is quick. He can hit hard enough and many times enough to put big guys on their back. Also, he can psychologically mess you up outside the ring and in the ring.
Lewis can take only a few punches before hugging for dear life. Or he'll get KO'd. Though his best defense is his height and reach, he also has one of the best jabs and uppercuts of the heavyweight fighters. He does not make too many mistakes like brawling with brawlers like Tyson and Tua. He will win on jabs all night if that is what it takes to win. Sweet Science was never meant to be entertaining - it was to win over brawn.
Now, when it comes to sweet science, Mohammed Ali is the Guru, the Shaman, The Messiah, the Kung Fu master of the Art of Boxing.
Without getting into a ficional account of "what would happen if.....", I will just pick Ali to win on points or KO.Comment
