You had it scored fairly similar to me as well, although I had it

    HOPKINS TAYLOR

    10 9
    10 10
    10 9
    9 10
    9 10
    9 10
    10 9

    10 9
    10 9

    115-114 for Hopkins.

Last Saturday, I believe that had Bernard applied more pressure a little earlier, the fight would have never been decided by the judges.

However, Bernard should have been busier, but Jermain didn't, in my mind, take the fight away from the champ, and you should have to take the title, not land 8 punches to his 5 punches and get the win.

Bernard landed the damaging shots in the fight and almost had Jermain out towards the end of the fight.

Bernard cannot cry about it though because he failed to take the outcome into his own hands.

I say Bernard by a unanimous decision in December.

Whoops, mixed up 4th and 2nd on that post, fixed. THe 2nd round Taylor definately won but the almost knockdown of Hopkins had nothing to do with it. He stumbled more than anything.

            hmm

Giving Hopkins rounds 3 and 4 is as bad as giving Taylor round 12. What a joke. Hopkins in no way won either won of those rounds clearly, Taylor did the better work. Hopkins did next to nothing.

I hope you weren't calling anyone a Taylor nuthugger with a card like that.

I see you have the reading comprehension of Manny_P. Round 4 was a draw and I can't see it any other way. Round 3, taylor was more active but missed with almost everything. Hopkin's defense in that round was amazing. He only threw a few punches but the ones that landed were clean and damaging.

lol...if you have round 4 even then rounds 5 and 9 on your card could or should be even.

Reading comprehension has nothing to do with a simple reading error. I didn't notice you had it even. Anyway, nice attempt to try to divert from the point. Hopkins' blows in round 3 were not damaging, and Hopkins defense don't mean **** if Taylor lands now and then and pressures Hopkins while Hopkins does jack ****.

ok heres the deal, im about as much of a hopkins nuthugger as anyone. and i would love to be able to say hopkins won that fight. but in all seriousness, biases aside, hopkins lost fair and square. it seemed as though he could have won if he was a little more active early but he wasent. honestly my fellow hopkins fans, we cant kid ourselves. taylor beat our man. but in december it could be a different story.

No way round 5 should be even. They landed similar number of shots but not nearly clean or damaging as Hopkins' were. 9 was the same as 5 in that respect, except Hopkins landed even more shots.

Round 3 I thought was fairly obvious. Hopkins landed more shots obviously. He backed off when he needed to and made Taylor chase him, which is good strategy. I don't look at that round in particular as effective aggression by any means.
