We'll just have to agree to disagree then. I can't wait for the rematch though. It's great when a fight has this much debate on the first match. These are the rematches that are golden. Just like the Corrales/Castillo fight.
OK I agree with that. Yes the rematch will be big, we have some good fights coming by the end of the year, I can't wait for Corrales/Castillo.
excellent point about Roth. WHAT THE F*** kinda scorecards was that?! Isn't he the one that had Mayorga beating Forrest like 116-112? Complete idiot. Jerry Roth is also the guy I believe that gave De La Hoya the 12th round in the Trinidad fight because he had given Trinidad so many earlier rounds he didn't deserve. this guy is horrible, I'm telling you.
yes, giving the 12th round to Taylor is ridiculous in this fight, but not nearly as ridiculous as having Hopkins win it 8 rounds to 4!!!!
I don't know if you remember the old fight Whitaker/De La Hoya, Roth scored this fight 117-111 for De La Hoya, I think anyone saw that fight will agree that Whitaker won the fight. I think Roth should be investigated.
IMO. I dont believe Taylor beat Hopkins. Hopkins put himself in that position. Alot of the first six rounds were very close in that neither was landing clean shots and both had the look of being tenative towards one another. Taylors punches, even though he through more were missing or slipping off. I only remember a few that connected. Hopkins does this to most of his opponets, but as the fight wore on into the last three rounds, you all have to admit, you thought hopkins was going to pull off his plan. If he did, we would all being sitting here saying what a genius hopkins was instead of "ohh how great Taylor is"" Taylor is not that good, in the last three or fou rounds, he looked like the old man. I am also upset at the lose for hopkins, but not so much at the judging, if your the champ, close like one...... He should of put The Tired Old Taylor Down..!!! I would have settled for the draw; like i really felt it was. esspecialy after that 12 round judge crap.
Who was it that had to go to the emergency room after the fight? Who landed 10 fewer punches than their opponent by the end of 12 rounds? Who was given the nod in every close round? - THE NEW MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, JERMAINE TAYLOR.
This decision was garbage. Being the busier fighter doesn't mean much when you miss nearly all of your punches. Hopkins has Taylor figured out, look for a big knockout next time around.

Yes look for a big knockout next time. Hopkins will be knocked out next time, because he probably thinks he can brawl with Taylor next time. I can't believe you just mentioned the emergency room. Taylor had a cut, thank to Bernard's head. I guess you're proud of the blood, just like Bernard. Who was it running like a bunny & doing nothing for 9 rounds??? Who was it holding & hitting every time????
wrong, the cut was from taylor's head hitting bernards chin/face. that butt was taylor's fault for rushing in. did you not watch the free replay? taylor had a concussion and his cheeks were puffy after the fight, hopkins did not look like he'd been in a fight.
it was later when hopkins headbutted taylor in the jaws
i thought hopkins won a close fight and i expect him to do better in the rematch
I've already watched the fight last week & I've watched 2 other times this week, my point is you & Bernard are proud of the cut, that is the reason Taylor went to the hospital.
