hopkins was robbed? wtf..from reading forum post the fight was nothing like u ppl said..hopkins lost every round other then the 5th 10th 11th and 12th..eating 3 jabs and then ducking the 4th and walking away with ur hands down like ur a 'slick' fighter dosent win u that exchanged..i should have known better when the majority of u jirov beat mesi when he GOT BEAT every round but the last 3 i hope none of u have any plans on being boxing judges
you dont easily win a fight when you lose EVERY one of the championship rounds.
in my opinion, Taylor didnt win 8 rounds. I think it was close, I am not bitching about the decision, because it was close, neither fighter was very impressive, but I think Hopkins did enough to win because he was competitive during the entire fight, AND he swept the championship rounds. I didnt cry about DLH-Tito, although I think DLH did enough to win despite running like a punk the last few rounds, he made Tito look foolish. Either way, no big deal. Hopkins started too late, and paid for it. Oscar forgot that it was a 12 round fight and not 9, and paid for it. No sweat off my sack.
i'm going to score the fight for myself in about 30 minutes. its near impossible as a fan to score one live or hell even the first time watching it. i'm using the 10 point must system so I probably won't have even rounds, as I hate having any round even.
hopkins landed all his **** in the last 4 rounds, but thts pretty much it
Taylor landed 1 more punch in rounds 1, 5, 8.
Taylor landed 2 more punches in round 7.
Those are hardly victories since Hop's power shots in those rounds were bigger. None of those can be scored decisvely for Taylor, while round 5 was clearly a victory for Hop even though he landed 1 less shot. The later rounds were won clearly by Hopkins for sure by landing 5 more, 8 more, 13 more, and 7 more. The % shots landed were the thing which to me gave Hop the victory in some of the close rounds.
Yes the fight was close, i scored 3 rounds even. i saw jermaine taylor winning it by only one point. The judge who gave hopkins 116-112 was clearly dreaming. at the end of the fight Taylor wasn't sure that he won, because hopkins did a considerable amount of damage in the last rounds. to be very fair it should have been called a DRAW. Rematch is very necassary to close the deal.
