Not based on wins and losses. Baldomir beat the undisputed lineal champion fair and square. That has to count for something. Margarito was better why? Based on the competition? What top flight ww had either of the 3 beaten at this poitn?

I'm not going to debate with you on technicalities of why Margarito Cotto and Williams were better fighters than Baldomir.

      Forget it.

Mosley...but then again he was at 154, and Floyd beat him later on at a better stage anyway so...

I know some people are going to say Margarito, but that's nonsense, Baldomir was the best available Welterweight at the time

        Although...

A part of me wishes Floyd would've fought P. Williams in November and Baldomir would've fought Margarito around the same time...winners faced each-other...

See what I mean? I didn't say they weren't better skilled or technical fighters. I asked what were you basing this reasoning on at this point? I'm not some kid looking to call you childish names. I'm an adult that thinks part of being called the best is winning and losing. At that point Baldomir had beaten a fighter that was better than all 3 of these guys. you can't just dismiss that win.

Zab Judah was better than Margarito, Cotto, and Paul Williams?

            K.

You don't have to explain to me why or how Baldomir was the linneal champion, I understand how boxing works.

He still wasn't the best fighter in the division.

Beating Judah and Gatti after coming off 9 losses, isn't going to prove it to me, either.

Make a tread with poll options to prove it!!I don't think there is any self respecting fight fan that truly believes Judah was ever better than Margarito,Cotto,or the Punisher!!

I'm not disrespecting you or your intelligence so don't go there. It's easy to make a blanket statement that Baldo wasn't the best in the division.

I'm just asking how can a case be made that williams (lack of competition), margo (loss to santos at 154 2 fights prior) and cotto (1 or 2 fights at 147 I think) was better than Baldo at 147 at this point?

I don't have to make a poll, and I don't care too.. everyone knows what it really is.

It's 10 o'clock in the morning and I'm debating Carlos ****in baldomir.

                  I'm done.

All time of course not. But when the fight takes place has to factor in to the equation.
