If you watched Vitali's old fights with all the early KOs, you'd realize Vitali is past his prime too. The version tof Vitali that fought Hide in 1999 would have taken Sosnowski out in 2 rounds. But that being said, Vitali is still very good.
very honest freedom! good to hear! I watched last night a few bouts from vitalis earlier days!
Yeah clearly hes not in his prime! But still a very good fighter with a lot of experience and mentally very strong!

I think Vitali would have preferred to fight Haye or Povetkin.

And I think that fighting Briggs is better than Haye's current opponent (nobody) or fighting Bruce Seldon in an illegal exhibition.

Briggs has name value, and unlike most of the guys who fight the Klits, he will actually try to win.

Furthermore, no matter your opinion of Briggs you cannot dispute that his power is enough to get rid of just about anyone.

Haye wouldn't have the sack to fight Briggs, he knows that Briggs would knock him out in 1 round.

I see. Who of those 78 possible opponents better than Briggs would you like to see against Vitali?

briggs isn't even an opponent briggs is a joke an old joke told over and over. The quitter never tried in his prime now he is out to pasture. I hope he isn't getting paid for this farce. Briggs has no business fighting anywhere but in an 8 round prelim. Whata joke fight and a disgrace to boxing.

Not really feeling this fight but it's not Vitali's fault that the "top" guys don't want to fight him. As others have said, Briggs has some serious power and can stop anyone if he lands. The big question mark is his asthma. Who knows how in shape he will be or if his asthma will be under control for this fight. I had mild asthma as a kid and it sucks. Hard to think about much else when you can't breathe. Luckily I pretty much grew out of it so it hardly ever bothers me now.

I'd like to see Vitali against the best possible opponent. I simply don't believe that the #79-ranked Heavyweight is the best opponent Vitali could get. Do you? Honestly?

If Briggs can score a first round ko, that would be a great way for Vitali to go out in style... on his back.

this is not surprising at all

Vitali is milking his belt fighting just about every bum in the division

now what are his reasons to make Briggs look worthy ? he has power AND HAS MORE PROFESSIONAL FIGHTS THAN HIM :gay:

what a ****ing idiot Vitali is

Boxrec is computer rankings. Briggs isn't the #79 heavyweight in the world, just like if you go down that list you'll see a LOT of other things like that.

It has nothing to do with anything except a points system.
