Staying active, not a bad fight for Vitali.

anyone who wants a title shot should go fight Rob Calloway, that gives you a beeline to Vitali

I mean honestly, its still better than Vitali's last two fights, but this is still baloney. Briggs had no right to get a title shot.

look for some Klitschko fans to start upping Briggs as a choice, when those same people were comdemning Briggs if he got an undeserving title shot about a month ago (You know who you guys are )
Maybe he should fight Tony Thompson, he could knock him out quicker than Wlad did. LOL!!

I think Vitali will find that it was easier selling Sosnowski as a viable opponent than it will be to sell Briggs to boxing fans. Everyone knows Briggs is a bit overdue as a top contender and has proven nothing since his "comeback" other than he can knockout tomatos in the first round.

Another former champion on the resume, but I would really like to see him fight Valuev and call it a career.

Tony Thompson would beat Vitali at this point, everyone knows that. no honestly though, I seriously doubt Vitali would KO Thompson, when Wlad was able to KO him because Tony took a risk by going on the offensive and left himself open, and even that was in the 11th round. and wlad is a much more dangerous offensive fighter than Vitali anyway.
Not to mention Tony outlanded Wlad. He could very well beat Vitali at this point in Vitali's career, through workrate and akwardness.

Youre right, I would much rather see Vitali fight Thompson, who is actually top ten.

but Im not a fan of fighters because I think theyre good anyway.

Briggs can still be dangerous early, but he hasn't done anything lately to deserve a title shot.

Problem is the lack of genuine challengers who wants to fight.
There are 78 Heavyweights more deserving of a shot than Briggs, according to boxrec. Did all 78 of them turn Vitali down?

Better than Sosnowski. Briggs has the power to KO Vitali if he decides to take risks early before he runs out of gas. I'd still bet on Vitali, but Briggs can be very dangerous early.

Nah, Vitaly and Wlad always thought about fighting him. Wlad wanted to fight him but then a better deal came through with Calvin Brock who the top US HW at that time.

He always talked **** abou the brothers, he is a 2-time HW champ, he has the size because he is even bigger than them (6'6" 270lbs), he is powerful and dangerous, and he has the personna to make the Germans (or just about anyone not from Brooklyn) hate him. He is going to make a great opponent to add to the Klitschko wall of scalps.

great opponent. compared to what? audley harrison?

but maybe briggs size and hitability will light a fire under vita
and instead of toying with him in a boorfest he'll crush him and make him cry on his stool.
