Pacman holds the World Record (7 Titles in different weight divisions), That Duran and Chavez failed to do!
Pacman was voted "Fighter of the Decade" by BWAA, that Duran and Chaves wasn’t able to get.
Pacman Resume is much better than Duran and Chavez
This is why this board is so demented. Morons that just don't know a damn thing.
So, you don't think Duran would have dominated even more divisions than Pac with the amount of titles and pre fight day weigh ins instead of the one champion and weigh ins before the fight?
Duran was voted fighter of the decade in 1970's too. He also holds records that Pacquiao doesn't. First LW titlist to win a middleweight title. First fighter to fight across five different decades.
Their resumes? You think Pac's is greater than Duran's? Ahh forget it. Any thread with Pac in it just descends into rambling idiocy and people that don't have the slightest clue.
Chavez's resume is better than Pacquiao's too in reality, especially if you like 'World Records'. Because you probably haven't heard of any of the fighters, apart from maybe one or two, you don't actually know anything about them. How can you say it's better when you only know about one of the guys on it? Even then you are just repeating stuff without actually understanding it.

Forget the numbers and stats just on skill Roberto Duran is the best then Pacquiao then Chavez. I think Chavez vs Pacman would of been a great fight though.

Robinson is the GOAT. P4P number one. Invariably, everyone will also have Henry Armstrong, Benny Leonard, Harry Greb, Sam Langford, Ali, Roberto Duran, Willie Pep, Ray Leonard, Ezzard Charles etc etc etc up there among the top ATG's. They are all the top P4P fighters too, among others. Top ATG=top P4P.
Sorry, but I don't understand how you differentiate a top ATG and a top P4P fighter. If you have Duran as a greater fighter (ATG) than Pac, then he is the better P4P fighter. That's what it means to have him as the better ATG. Unless I'm misunderstanding something.
Honestly I thought me red K'ing you back was a bit much...... even though It was a typo/era (forgetting about Duran's start at 119) on my end that I admitted (unlike most who post b.s and continue in it)
As far as that (P4P) I never said I didn't understand that view point (what you are saying). I acknowledge that as well, but stated that I have a different point of view, when it comes to P4P, than most.
p4p basically is if all these guys were the same size how would they do (atleast that's how I have always understood it). To me that is so subjective and something we would never know (I mentioned that as well when replying to that other guy).
I'd rather go off of what they actually did...... which is why when someone says p4p I think of how effective they were in the different weight classes they fought in. Again this is different than how most people (pretty much everyone I know in boxing) judges these things and I realize that.
I think Armstrong is p4p the greatest because he went to each weight class, FW, LW, WW and dominated. He was elite in each of his stops and could have been elite at MW. It wasn't any "what if stuff"....and same with guys like Robinson and Langford.
For me ATG is just who is the best fighter regardless of weight
P4P is who the greatest in various weights.
If a guy can be elite in 5 classes compared to a guy who has only proven to be elite in 1...then IMO then the one mentioned first is P4P a better fighter.
This is my definition, and how I see things. I chose to go a different route and maybe I'm completely wrong, but that is how I judge it.
