if duran decided back then to retire after his adventures in lightweight, i would think he would rate higher still than the other two...

pacquiao is greater than all three.he would never have lost to guys like sims and laing and he would never quit either.duran was great but pac has the greater resume.

chavez was also great but a level below pac and duran

                2. Roberto Duran (elite LW, WW)
                3. Julio Cesar Chavez (elite JWW)

So if this is p4p then it's Manny Pacquiao by a country mile. He has proven himself to be an elite fighter in 6 Different weight classes whereas Duran has been elite in two and Chavez in one.
With this evidence? Pacquiao by far.

same with duran but in reverse...

when laing and simms beat duran, he was a shot old man with his best days behind him...

When it's all said and done, it's going to end up Duran-Pacquiao-Chavez.
