So far this poll is even. Seems like Floyd ain't the greatest just an equal to a fighter like Mosely lol.. Actually Mosely should have wooped his ass if he was younger so Mosely > Floyd =)

I think would have won because Shane cannot handle boxers, only fighters.

I mean he got outboxed by Winky, forrest and Even Cotto.

As Larry Merchant pointed out in an interview, fighters who are past there prime will still create the illusion that they are good when faced with a slow fighter (Margarito), But if faced with a fast younger fighter the reality takes over and it usually shows the real picture that past there prime fighters can't compete with someone faster.

We all know Power is the last one that goes out from an old fighter, that's why he still caught floyd with a devastating right. It's just that he was too slow to compete with Floyd's youth.

If it was a young primed mosely who fought Floyd. Floyd would have his 2nd loss already ( castillo his first loss ). Mosely would have finished him of for sure. He just wasn't able to finish him off coz lets face it speed vs speed, a younger fighter will most likely have more to offer.

First of all you guys say Mosely ain't a prune coz he is still good for a almost 39 year old fighting May, but what more if Mosely was in his prime fighting Floyd.. Mosely wasn't competing at the highest level at age 38.

If Mosely was at his prime and landed that big bombs that buckled Floyd twice. It is not hard to believe that Mosely could have followed up and ended the fight.

I don't even think he would have to even follow threw with more punches. If a 38 year old mosely can buckle Floyd what more if that bomb that landed on Floyd was from a prime mosely. Lights out for sure.

        So I'm making this poll.

        Who wins prime vs prime.

Note: Mistext on poll question: I meant if Mosely "was" at his prime fighting floyd who wins?
This was prime Mosley exactly 1 fight before the Oscar fight. Undefeated & at his prime age. Look at the way he fights. People keep asking why was he moving like that against Floyd but the fact is he always fights that way. All that wasted movement. Its just like Senior said in 24/7. He's going to be doing all that jittery **** & lil Floyd will be just like "bap". Thats exactly how the fight went.

The only way most people thought alot of guys like Shane & Oscar would beat Floyd in his prime is because Floyd was a small WW at the time & coming in at 146 pounds but now that he's grown into the weight, none of those guys wouldve beaten him even in there prime. Watch this prime Mosley exactly 1 fight before beating Oscar the 1st time & tell me that this guy beats Floyd. Tell me that this guy is so much different then the guy who fought Floyd & moves alot less. Its not true. Obviously he's past his prime but so is Floyd. He never was P4P better than Floyd and his prime at WW wasnt better than Floyd now.

Mosely's old trainer even said his punches are really hard. He is one of the hardest punches in the welterweight division. Mosely could have one it easy if he was prime.

I see your point. But he still seems faster and stronger in that vid.

No doubt. Im definitely not a Mosley hater and the fight would be closer but some of the things did in that fight were just pure boxing skill moreso than Mosley being faded. Mosley has that habit if patting with the jab like 4 times & then launching a big right. He killed Margarito with that. People didnt notice much in the Floyd fight but every single time Shane would do that, Floyd killed him.

Shane would be patting that jab to Floyd's right hand & as soon as he was about to throw the right, Floyd would throw his jab to hold Shane in place & then follow up with the straight right hand. He's just a much better boxer & smarter fighter but Shane is a beast & its possible that he couldve caught Floyd with all that speed he had back then & stopped him like he almost did in the 2nd but I think thats his only shot. Other then that I think he loses a more competitive but clear cut decision. You can also see in that vid that Mosley even in his prime never had a real jab so its hard to beat Floyd with his style

That's another interesting poll to make. Seems like it just shows that Floyd have been ducking prime fighters and making himself look better fighting old prunes.

A younger Floyd would not have stood flat-footed in front on Mosley. You guys are assuming the fight would have gone the exact same way.

Floyd doesn't move nearly as much as he did earlier in his career.

Mayweather is a very bad matchup for any shane mosley. With the exception of power, floyd just does everything better than shane.

It's not fair to call oscar an old prune. because you take away from manny's win two years later.
