i still believe floyd would have out-smarted a younger mosley, too. even when you watch him at 135, mosley takes a lot of punches and seemed to have moments where you were forced to wonder "is he gassing." floyd would feast on those openings and breaks until mosley's other bad habit showed up. that is mosley's tendency to visible show that he doesn't think there is nothing else he can do.

out of ten, i do give a younger mosley 2-3 wins, as he seemed more crafty then, but i believe mayweather has always been more skillful as a boxer.
At a level that these guys are playing. You don't call that a lucky punch. That's called years of training in the gym harnessing there skill.

Yup, It's so clear as day that if Mosely was at his prime that right bombs Mosely threw would have been lights out for Floyd for sure

I don't even think he would have to even follow through with more punches. If a 38 year old mosely can buckle Floyd what more if that bomb was on a prime mosely

I think Mayweather would have still won(if both were prime) but it would have been a WAY closer fight. Im thinking 115-113, slightly controversial decision. It wouldve been one of those where Mosley would hit Mayweather with big shots and flurries to win his rounds, and Mayweather in reply would hop on his bike and do a few laps around the ring.

people would be irritated by Floyd's tactics, but would ultimately win barely, although a small number would claim he lost.

Mosley would take over the early rounds, Floyd would have to readjust and use his defensive style and stamina to weather the storm and build up enough points in the second half of the fight to win.

So that same shot from a prime Mosley would have KO'd Floyd even though you said in the OP that power was the last thing to go?

Yup he still has power at 38, but ofcourse if a fighter is younger he definitely would have been stronger.

The heart beats faster at a younger age. More blood pumping means more oxygen to the muscles and body. The older you get the slower the pumping of your heart. That's why ahltetes get old. No one is immune to it.

Some just have better genes than others that they can prolong there youth.

Mosley can't beat fighters who can outhink and out box him. Forrest, Wright, PBF and IMO De la Hoya in the second fight.

The thing is he still can land pretty nasty bombs at 38 it ain't rocket science to think he can't land more hard punches and a lot harder if he was younger.

If Floyd fought a Prime Mosley, he wouldn't have made it out of the 2nd Round.

                      Shane would've finished him.
