Early rounds, I'll have to watch it again to let you know for sure, I only saw the fight once but I remember either Lampley or someone commenting that he was hurt, it looked like Arreola was going to finish him at some point but Adamek survived somehow. To be clear, there was no KD, but Adamek was in no hurry to trade with him, he even said so in the post-interview; paraphrasing "You can get real hurt by some punches like that, I don't wish to die...". He looked hurt to me at one point, Arreola said so as well, although Arreola is obviously biased.

Anyone else saw what I saw?

I remember Adamek getting rocked around the 4th round or so, and staggered a bit. Arreola had hurt his hand and wasn't able to do much after that, though. I have the fight on DVR and will watch it again. I wouldn't say Tomas was almost out, but he was hurt for sure. He shook it off well between rounds. I do think Arreola hurting his hand was a big turning point in that fight. He had some openings he couldn't do much with because of his hand. But all credit to Adamek for taking advantage of the situation.

That's the same impression I had. I've only seen the fight once aswell, but I remember Adamek getting staggered atleast once and Arreola not being able to close the show. Adamek having one hell of chin didn't hurt him any in that fight.

Cool, thanks, wanted to make sure I wasn't blind. That's what I remember seeing. Props to Adamek, a true warrior, he is a LHW fighting at HW, no shame in getting rocked by a 260lb heavy hittter like Arreola.

Adamek does have a chin but we are not going to see the type of wars he had with Paul Briggs anymore now that he is at HW. Adamek is not a slugger though, he is not afraid to ****, but he is a smart fighter. He will fight the big men with a lot of movement and a lot of in-and-out work. I don't think he brought the pop with him though, he is just not strong enough to keep the bigger HWs off him. If it's true that Arreola broke his hand, then that explains it, because I thought for sure that ******* would win by KO.

The Klitschkos are too demanding !!!

I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Adamek , as he lives in the town where I am a police officer. This man is a very humble man and very un assuming. When I asked him about the Klitschkos he stated that HBO is very interested in this fight and that it will happen . I like the Klitschkos but they need to slow down, whats wrong with making some money before facing them? Adamek vs Haye would be a great fight and Adamek would take Haye in my opininon, this would be a smart move for both, then after this fight face a klitschko, but if I know Adamek he will face Klitschko after his fight in September. Give him a chance , the man is a true warrior , very humble and fears no one.

I don't remember Adamek being rocked his entire career, let alone Arreola fight. He's got ultrasturdy chin.

I think for Vitali the answer is obvious -- he hasn't got all that long left to keep fighting. Although lately he sounds as if he's prepared to go for awhile yet, as long as he feels good. I think the article is misleading in that Vitali isn't saying Adamek is "running" from him. It's a different issue with all the fighters he speaks about. If all else fails, I'd be happy to watch him shut Shannon Briggs' big yap for good, though Briggs doesn't deserve the cash-out fight he'd be getting. Still, no one else is stepping up except those desperate for a cash-out fight, and Briggs may be the best of those.

No shame in getting clipped by Arreola: he's a big boy who can punch.

I'll rewatch it, but I'm sure Arreola hurt him at least once early.

I watched the fight several times and Arreola hit him couple of times with serious shots, but I don't remember Adamek being *wobbled* by any means. Tomasz took'em all pretty well and was able to keep his composure.
