I don't know about that, it was pretty entertaining to watch Arreola quit and then cry about it.Who the **** does Vk think he is saying Adamek is running away?? what a ****** ****, Adamek came and fought Arreola in one of his first fights and put on a more entertaining display the Vitali.
Adamek hasn't been giving it all mouth and talking **** he is building himself up and easing himself into the HW division like Haye should have.
I don't think he has a chance though as Arreola caught him a few times and seemed to really hurt him, the Klits are a lot better technically then Arreola and hit as hard if not harder.
Adamek was almost knocked out in his fight versus Arreola and Vitaly made Arreola quit, obviously we know would win that battle if Adamek and Vit got it on.
Adamek was offered the fight with Wlad but he declined it. Now Vitaly offered them the fight and Adamek declined it as well. Call it what you want but facts are stubborn things that don't just go away...Comment

Come on, man. Vitali offered Haye 50-50 worldwide split and no options.
What do you think he should do? Offer Haye 100%?
As for Valuev, Vitali offered him more $$$ than he's EVER made. 1.5 million.
Where else is Valuev getting a fight for that kind of money?
This contract stuff started with con-men Haye and Booth and their slick "slave contract" phrase. People picked up on that like a virus. It is a smokescreen and it's bull****. Fighters aren't interested in fighting to become HW champion of the world? This is really embarrassing for boxing.Comment

I like both Adamek and Vitali, but yes, Vitali beat the crap out of Arreola big-time and Adamek won, but not by much. If Arreola hadn't broke his hand, it might have been different.I don't know about that, it was pretty entertaining to watch Arreola quit and then cry about it.

Adamek might have turned down Vitali. Maybe he doesn't feel ready yet.
I'm sure VK is frustrated. He is feeling good and wanting to fight and no-one will fight him. It's rather unprecedented to have this many contenders fleeing from a title shot.Comment

I like Adamek as well, and I do believe that he really does want to take his time and get accustomed to the weight, and unlike Gaye he didn't talk all that **** for 2 years, plus he actually never backed out of fights with them, he just turned them down. But he DID turn down fights with both brothers, whatever his reasons, he did turn down the fights he was offered, that's a fact. So it's still true that 5 out of the top 10 have turned down a fight or blatantly ran away from (Gaye and Povetkin) with the Klitschkos.I like both Adamek and Vitali, but yes, Vitali beat the crap out of Arreola big-time and Adamek won, but not by much. I think it's unprecendented for two champs that bring in serious $$$$ and audiences and the biggest paydays, to have their opponents running from them instead after them. The only ones signing up to fight them are bankrupt old has-beens that would just as well fight homeless hobos for $20K a pop in Norfolk (aka Shannon Briggs). So the ones that actually have some time or other earning options, don't want to risk getting beat to a pulp, and the ones like Toney, Briggs, and Holyfield are begging for a shot cause they are bankrupt and old.
I must give Peter props for stepping up and facing Wlad again but I garauntee you, if he does manage to get lucky (extremly unlikely, but this is boxing at HW, injuries and freak one-punch lotteries do happen), he will not want to get back in the ring with Vitaly...Comment

As far as I can tell, claiming the Klitscko's "lowballed me" or "offered slave contracts" is really just code for "I make good money fighting guys I can beat, why should I fight a Klitschko and end up like Eddie Chambers or Calvin Brock?"Comment

It was funny to see the pic of Briggs smiling it up with Vitali yesterdayI like Adamek as well, and I do believe that he really does want to take his time and get accustomed to the weight, and unlike Gaye he didn't talk all that **** for 2 years, plus he actually never backed out of fights with them, he just turned them down. in another publication. This after Briggs has called Wlad and Vitali "****sexuals" (typical Briggs insult) and "white boys that HBO loves" (boy was he wrong about that one!) and all kinds of other crap. Briggs makes me sick -- a real hypocrite.
Yes, I notice that Sam Peter never mentions wanting Vitali for a rematch.
Both Klitschkos are feared, but people are absolutely petrified of Vitali. Sam Peter at least knocked Wlad down with a few rabbit punches, so he has a little confidence against him. Against Vitali, he knows it's certain doom, and he already quit on his stool against him once....Last edited by ChopperRead; 08-02-2010, 10:53 AM.Comment

Briggs is the biggest POS, I hope the fight does come off and Vitaly puts a real hurting on him. I just hope he doesn't quit before Vitaly really hurts him.It was funny to see the pic of Briggs smiling it up with Vitali yesterday

Vitali did NOT make Arreola quit. His trainer stopped the fight. Arreola was begging his trainer not to stop the fight.I don't know about that, it was pretty entertaining to watch Arreola quit and then cry about it.

Exactly. The Klitschkos don't just win fights: they end careers. Brock, Sultan Ibragimov, Kirk Johnson, Lennox Lewis ... just a few fighters who were never the same again and pretty much vanished after a beating from one of the Klitschkos.Comment
