Well, Wlad was beatable until he improved with Steward and learned how to pace himself. The old Wlad threw everything in the book and went for the quick knockout. The new Wlad softens up the target more before he takes it out.

Vitali, well, he isn't beatable. Only age will beat him but he'll retire before he loses. No one has what Lennox Lewis once had which is movement, power and a great jab. Only Wlad has that now.

I know people are going to say it's a million dollars man but these guys are already making close to a million anyways for fighting way lesser opposition.

They need to start offering up a little more cash for their fights and I'm sure they will get some guys to fight them. If I can make 600K fighting a mediocre heavyweight then why would I only accept 400K more to fight a giant that I have little chance to beat anyways? I realize that Valuev is taller than either of the Klits but he has litte chance to beat them skill wise and he knows that.
40 million? Nah. They average between 9-12 million Euros per fight. Someone threw that huge number out there after one of Vitali's fights, but it was incorrect.

I guess Sam Peter has no problems dealing with the Klitschkos: he's signed to fight them three times now!

I think Vitali's movement depends on who he's fighting. His movement against Arreola surprised a lot of people, including the HBO team. Larry Merchant came out and said he didn't think Vitali could move like that. Vitali trained for the bull rushing at him and used lateral movement to force Arreola to constantly have to reset his offence. And while he was re-setting, Vitali hammered him.

In contrast, Sosnowski's very good movement against Vitali allowed him to stay in the fight as long as he did, but Sos was also in tremendous condition. Vitali chose to stay more stationary, wear him down with the jab and then go for the kill. It took awhile to find the range for the jab because Sos was moving so well. But as soon as Sos slowed a bit, Vitali lowered the boom.

It's great watching VK because of how he works a gameplan through a fight. He's never less than interesting.

Bull****, your post doesn't make sense. Tyson gave McNeely $750,000 but he earned almost $20 million for that fight, you think that was fair? Vitaly is not earning $20 million, he is getting about $10-$12 for this fight, so he is actually giving a much larger % of the purse to his opponent then the example you brought up.

$1.5 is very reasonable, that is the highest payday of Valuev's career. What don't you understand about that? It's simple economics, Valuev's whole career has proved that he can't earn more than $1.5 million, why should Vitaly pay him a cent more? Vitaly can go fight anyone and still earn his $10 mil, the opponent doesn't matter, just Klitschko vs "(Put name here)" matters. Every fighter sees them as a golden ticket to retirement but the Klitschkos are taking all of the financial risks, not their opponent, it's their company that is putting up the venue, the TV deals, etc.

Same thing with Povetkin, the guy hasn't even earned $400K a fight yet and he is calling a 25%, $2.5 million deal a "slave contract"? I would like to be a slave in that case, where can I sign up?

Neither Haye, nor Povetkin, nor Valuev are 25 years old.
