I thought it could have gone either way since we are scoring on the 10 point must system. Overall I think Hopkins did better in the fight just he came up short as a result of the way boxing matches are scored. I am surprised he did not get the nod in the close fight, he being the reigning champion as that is the way things usually go.

Bernard did not seem very upset with his SD loss to Taylor. He might even gain some popularity if he defeats Taylor in a rematch as it now makes Taylor look all the more menacing opponent.

        Heres the master scorecard.

Was Duane Ford wrong for scoring the 12th in Taylors favor? That's what seems to be wrong about the whole equation.

Damn I gotta see this fight. It really sounds like it should have been a damned draw.
The first 6 rounds were close but I gave 4 rounds to Taylor based solely on activity more than landed punches. The 2 rounds I gave to Hopkins were for his better counterpunches. The second half was Hopkins fight as Taylor was too sloppy and missing with big shots while Hopkins countered him easy. Rounds 7 and 8 were close I admit but Hopkins landed the better shots throughout those rounds. I think everybody pretty much agrees that Hopkins dominated 9-12.

I feel that the round was Hopkins round easy.

McKay: Hopkins was upset but said he knew he won.

              Taylor Fought SCARED!

Taylor did more but he fought scared! but he won more rounds by throwing and landing a few jabs! if taylor fought aggressive like roy jones said he should have , he would have won since hopkins uses INTIMIDATION! to win its obvious they need a brave guy to demolish hopkins, hopkins aint invincible...It is funny on the pound for pound list they even said hopkins would have extreme trouble with someone with ZAB Judahs or Manny pacquiaos speed and style and over aggressive style...how come no middleweight fights him this way? TRINIDAD fought hopkins ****** as well he fought mad and careless...they all fear his sneaky right hand why? do you think it is intimidation? Taylor better knock him out in the rematch if he wants to be someone he needs to win A good fight with no fear!

What I also notice is that taylor didnt continue punching! you gotta impose your will on an opponent and that is what HOPKINS does best. Taylor threw a couple punches and then stopped just like dela hoya haahah they should have kept punching like how Pacquiao demolished BArrera impose your youth on him and make him fight your fight!

Thats why I think WINKY WRIGHT would have whooped HOPKINS so badly! I would put my money on that too! he would have schooled hopkins with that peeka boo style.

They fear his sneaky righthand because he keeps landing it a will and it snaps thier head back. Taylor and Pacquiao are two different fighters. Taylor wasn't all that much faster than Hopkins the way Pacquiao was against Barrera so that wouldn't work. Plus he wasn't landing as many punches as Pacquiao was either. The only way Taylor is knocking Hopkins out is if he catches him sleeping which more than likely won't happen.

I have noticed their are no middleweights with Zab Judah or pacquiaos fighting style why is that?

I guess there is just none around at this time. Pacquiao's style is a little guys style in my opinion. There aren't too many bigger guys who can keep up that kind of pace. None that I have seen right now. Well actually Ouma can keep up that pace.
