    Wait.

Roy was in the prime of his career against Tarver?

Roy if he wanted to would stop him probably in some p4p match where they were both LHWs/SMWs, he didn't have the best technique but see Jones vs Toney if anyone thinks superior technique without the ability to match him gets the job done.

Prime Roy was just a freak of nature 1 in a billion, I have never seen anyone with that kind of natural ability before.

Toney had more power, a better chin, threw more, had a far greater offense...i don't think that's true at all.

Honestly, no disrespect to anyone, but if you haven't seen Toney from 1992-1994 (which it's obvious some of you haven't)...then STFU.

It's not laughable at all to people who have actually seen Toneys entire career.

It may or may not be better, but it is comparable.

I would rank Floyds defense over Toneys, but it isnt laughable.

ok. but toney is no floyd, real talk.

              taking resume out.

But look at what you said.

But counterpunching is floyd's strength and thats maybe how he wins.

Was counterpunching not Roys strength as well?

Add on to the fact, better reflexes, faster handspeed, and p4p much more power... How is Floyd going to out counter Roy?
Yeah roy is too, but I'm making an argument why I feel floyd wins. I think floyd is better. And IMDAZED point is well taken, toney is like floyd. But he isn't floyd.

I just think floyd's accurate hard counterpunching eventually wears roy down, assuming all else is equal. At some point roy IMO, will have to change his style.

You are 100% correct, from rd 1-12 roy could take floyd out at any secomnd with one punch. But if he doesn't take him out I think floyd forces him to do sopmething different.

No, that's not true at all either. Toney had the better chin, more power, was far more active, great stamina. Plus, was no slouch in all other departments. yesir, you know my man but step your game up. Go watch those Toney tapes from the early 90's.

I was replying to the person who said that may has lost once meanwhile roy has never lost. of course we can ignore the dq vs griffith but you cant say jones jr. never lost. in the tarver fight he was a bit past his prime but as i said no one was talking about it before the fight only after he got knocked out
