A prime Roy would beat Mayweather P4P.

toneys bread and butter is his shoulder roll. floyd relies on more than just the shoulder roll. so in that, you are right and i agree.

based on the fact that floyd relies on more with his defense
That's absurd. If Floyd fights...oh, 50 MORE TIMES he might be punch drunk too.

I honestly believe p4p Roy Jones beats anybody in the history of boxing.

im mixing in my preference of fighting style.

i prefer the way floyd uses his intelligence and mixes up his looks and strategy. i was always a fan of toneys elusiveness and especially within close quarters but at the same time, i always felt he could have changed up making thing easier on himself and taking less punishment.

i felt that you always got the same look from toney vs floyd who has a different look in each fight, round by round down to within the round.

so ill retract my statement. its not the extra tools, its the different looks floyd gives compared to toney

and this is one of the reasons why it feel peeople cant use toneys fight with roy as a way to say it would be similar between floyd and roy.
Different looks? How many looks does Floyd have? How about Toney? Now that we've killed the whole "more tools" argument which is completely false. A prime James Toney had MANY looks and was BRILLIANT. Dude, you know not what you speak of.

RJJ all day, this guy was deem invincible in his prime and he had that aura of invincibility about him when he was in his prime which was kinda freakish superman-wise. But i alway feel a certain someone who beat him already would have beaten him prime for prime.

If you are talking about Calzaghe then you have no clue.

Joe Calzaghe was tailor made for a prime Jones. So much so I thought the shot version was going to kick his a**
