No he isn't. Don't go changing the rules for one guy.

If Pacman is the #1 P4P, is a welterweight and wants to show Why He's the #1 P4P, then I say Yes, He should accept the challenge and take on the giant. When did the #1 P4P had to choose beatable opponents to stay on the chair? There's responsability that comes with that title, specially in your weight class. If He can't fight William at 147, then He is not even the best at his weight and if He's not, then He's not the #1 P4P either. Period.

Well, think of it this way. The moment ANYONE challenges pac, it automatically gives them media milleage.

I honestly don't think PWill even thinks anything would come up with his challenge. He's just doing it for the media attention, and it worked.

the only problem with your argument is that #1 ahould fight #2. Pwill is in most peoples top 5, but not in the top 2 slots. With a potential mega-fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao looming in the future, I don't see the benefit on Pacquiao's behalf on fighting one of the most ducked fighters on the planet. There are big names at 154 and 160 that PWill can take on. I believe Kelly Pavlik is still looking for an opponent now that he is "healed". Shouldn't PWill be chomping at the bit for this guy after he was snubbed twice? I would think so and would love to see that fight. I am one of the few that believe Paquiao shouldn't take a tune-up against another Top Rank guy. I would love to see a Paquiao-Berto matchup. One problem though---Arum and Haymon hate each other

Just imagine the HW division fighters saying "no" to matchups based on height and weight differences. That's why in the end, the HW division is truly King. And to me, the best of his era, the best of all time, should really be a HW only. And the rest for rankings we can add in the other guys but make sure you put a handicap sign up there with the "P4P"
Its very clear you just want Pac to lose because you did not use your logic by saying this so. Why not ask Williams to fight Chad Dawson or Glen Jonhson as they almost at the same height and not too far from his real weight? Is that makes sense to you or they just too big for Williams?

no he isn't. With floyd on "vacation" pac is the biggest draw and brings the biggest payday. Its only natural that paul challenges him.

If manny fights marg (biggest payday) instead of tim/paul/berto (better challenges) is he the same as floyd?

No, I want Pac to step up to the plate and actually have a "live" opponent for once. NO more "catch-weights", no more fighting fighters that have come off a loss, specifically by KO, etc.
And if Williams is in your division, fight him. If you are the best, you fight the best.

Why should I ask Williams to fight Chad Dawson or Glen Johnson if Williams does not fight in their division?
Williams tops out at MW. Martinez and whoever else is there would be all we could talk about at the moment. We go by weight, not height divisions.

"Real Weight"? What is that exactly?

The only weight that counts since I was ripped in the past for it, is division/scale weight. Fight-time weight does not count. That is what some fans have been telling me for quite some time when I debated it about Floyd. So the same applies to Pac.

By the way, I'm in favor of Floyd fighting Williams as well if Williams is at WW. Although for both, like I said in a previous post, I really don't know if Paul can make 147 anymore and the fight would be better at 154 to make sure he is not dehydrated. But again, then that takes both Pac and Floyd out of the running unless they are willing to go up a division.

Oh, and if I wanted Pac to lose I would tell you I want him to fight the best fighter right now, Wlad, since he is the King of Boxing.

Sam Langford would have stepped up to the plate and fought Williams. Hell, he may have even stepped up and fought Wlad at one point.

This fight will look like this specially at 154. You think this is a fair fight?
                      [IMG][/IMG]

Williams fighting at lower weight classes to take advantages of his height and reach against smaller fighter. It maybe legal but its cowardice if you look deep into it.
