Is it fair for a 6'3 tall man to fight a 5'6 man because they're the same weight?

      That's a contradiction bro.

One fighter has a 9' height advantage and a 15' reach advantage in a sport where these things are very important. This fighter has an advantage. What is a typical word that is associated with advantage. Unfair. Sure they would be fighting within the rules but that doesn't mean all fights within the same weight class are fair and even match ups. It is a mismatch and therefore unfair. Only because it is Pacquiao do some consider it to be fair because he is good.

      Hatton vs Williams @ 147
      Marquez Vs Williams @147

These are not "fair" fights, they are mismatches heavily favoring one fighter.

ofcourse its fair, we have weightclasses not heightclasses. fighters always give up diffrent advatages to the eachother, thats what makes the sweet science such a beautiful sport. u need to adapt to diffrent oponents. its too bad pacquiao isnt willing to do that and just keeps fighting the same type of tailor made oponents that fit his style instead of challenging himself.

eighter way ducking fighters bcuz of their height is not a valid excuse. its hilarious when ppl try to excuse pacquiao ducking fighters bcuz hes a small WW, there are weightclasses for a reason. if he wants to fight in a higher weightclass then hes built for thats just something he will have to deal with, it comes with the territory.

thats like dawson moving up to HW but only fighting small HWs like chambers and haye then saying its okey for him to duck ppl cuz he isnt a real HW.

if u move up in a weightclass your not built for u will have to give up size, including height. if u dont like it take your little ass back down to 140 or 135. anyone who doesnt get that is ******ed, and i mean literally ******ed. williams being tall is no diffrent than mosley having a good chin or berto being fast, its a physical advantage that his oponents will just have to adapt to and deal with (what boxing is all about!). not an excuse to duck him.

If you can make the weight & win, why not I would.. Wouldn't you? plus I didnt hear Haye complaining about Valuev about being to big or when sanders fought the klits.

Yes, it's fair. As long as that 6'3 can make the weight, i don't see why not?

I'd watch who you're calling ******ed. "no different" There's a big difference between what you just said there buddy. One is god given the other is not. If Pacquiao sat on his ass all day as a kid to current day he wouldn't be fast. If Williams did the same he would still be 6'3 with his massive reach. If Mosley never fought a round in his life his chin would be ****.

The last sentence of your posts exemplifies why you think it is completely fair and not the physical mismatch that it is. Take off your goggles.

Haye, 6'3 in height fought and won against a man-ape that was 7ft tall. Significant difference in weight, reach and height yet everybody agrees it was a fair fight.

So, it's only fair for the 6'3 guy to fight that 5'6 p4p king as long as they both make the weight

if williams sat on his ass all day he wouldnt make 147. yes his genes help but the same thing goes for handspeed, some have alot more to work with than others. and chin is as much god given as anything in boxing, u need to box a few rounds so u are able to take a punch without closing your eyes or turning away. u can learn how to roll with punches in the gym, but its the punches u dont see that knock u out. and when u get it with one of those its nothing but genes that decide if if u stand upright or not.
