Is it fair for a 6'3 tall man to fight a 5'6 man because they're the same weight?

I don't care what the poll results say, I only care about what the question asks.

The question isn't should they fight? or can they fight? or is it within the rules if they fight? The question is, Is it fair for a 6'3 tall man to fight a 5'6 man because they're the same weight? The weight is fair. The height and reach are not. Not all fights are fair. Especially if a fighter has a 9'&15' height and reach advantage. This is a mismatch, uneven, lopsided fight if you consider height and reach important in boxing.

I am only answering the thread starters question. I'm not saying they shouldn't fight. Can you grasp that?

Clottey rehydrated to 170 for Corrales. I'm sure Margarito will be close to that as well. These excuses are wearing thin.

Yes, they're weight classes not height classes.

What you are doing is discrediting a history of fights and fighters based on height and reach. You can spin it, dress it up, but it still looks just as ridiculous.

                was this "fair?"

                or this?

                This.....

there's a big chance that paul williams will be severely weight drained going down to 147 and his performance will be ****. if that fight happens and pac wins everybody will just be saying williams is weight drained that's why he lost. better for pac not to fight him...or if ever he will it should be at 154.
