Ok, so here's a similar scenario:

    1) Amir Khan beats Bradley to become Lineal champ at 140lbs.

    2) Zab Judah beats Mabuza for the vacant IBF title.

    3) Judah calls out Khan however Khan decides to move up to Welterweight (like he earlier said he would) to take on the obviously more talented Andre Berto, or a prime fighter like Kell Brook, Mike Jones or Senchenko.

Has Khan (the lineal champ) ducked Zab Judah?

I would not say that what Haye did was a "duck". However he did see the writing on the wall.

Haye knew that the best Cruiserweights (Cunningham, Huck, Wlodarcyk, and Adamek) we still to be beaten. He realized that he could move up to Heavyweight and get easier fights than he was going to be forced to take at Cruiserweight.

Haye knew the chances of losing to one of the 4 listed above was much greater than his chances of losing to tailor made handpicked Heavyweights such as Barrett, Valuev and Ruiz.

REgardless of size, Adamek or Cunningham at Cruiser was a tougher fight than Valuev at Heavyweight. Haye knew this and he made a decision that is very typical of his entire career. He chose the path of least resistance knowing his fanboys were too uneducated about the sport to recognize what he was doing.

You do know that Haye said before the Mormeck fight that he was struggling to make weight and was going to move up to HW? The press were claiming that he was ducking Maccarinelli and was turning down big money to fight him (sounds familiar doesn't it?).

          BS post...

Anyway, how'd it feel to lose $500 betting on Maidana?

It was a good fight though, I'm sure it was worth travelling to Vegas for it.

You do know that Haye made weight so easily against Enzo that he got on stage and drank a smoothie before even weighing in just to make a point.

And even after drinking the smoothie he still came in a full 2lbs under the limit.

Then again you are dumb enough to believe everything he says even in the face of irrefutable evidence to the contrary.

He's only lost one close decision to Cunningham. He has an excellent chin and can punch.

Haye avoided durable fighters like Wlodarczyk.

Haye's opponents (like the notoriously glass-chinned Gurov and Enzo) had all been stopped before.
              Tunney,

Haye never avoided these fighters, he no desire to fight them, he had a plan and has executed it. He always wanted to move up and has done so and has become a heavyweight champion.

He stated several years ago that this was his plan and even fought at heavyweight in between Cruiser fights. He wanted a few Cruiser belts so that it could act as a springboard to quicker bigger heavyweight fights, this is exactly what has happened.

Just because some people have fairytale expectations of what is deemed a great career doesn't mean that Haye had to beat every possible Crusierweight to be called Champion. Mormeck was the recognised Champion, Haye beat him then took out another champion in Maccarinelli to hold three of the belts.

The real question should be around his Heavyweight credentials but again he has beaten what is in front of him, its a poor division and until he meets a Klit, we wont be certain.

It feels good to be able to lose $500 and not sweat it.

Especially when it's obvious from comments like these that most of you Haye fans don't have $500 to spare.

For the record I won well over $500 on Froch-Abraham. Enough to pay for my airfare, hotel and losing bet.

So because he had a drink before the weigh in it means he didn't struggle to make the weight? DLH came in at 145 against Pacquiao, i guess that's irrefutable evidence that he didn't struggle to make weight either and was a natural 147 fighter.

How old was Oscar? How old was Haye?

                    Who were their opponents?

DLH blamed the weight but he was just washed up and inferior to his opponent.

I'm starting a new job next month, and it pays well. I'll resume betting then.

Just because you can afford to lose it, doesn't justify losing. Losing is still not nice.

You were wrong about Khan. Admit it. His chin is better than you gave him credit for.
