But Haye is demanding the bigger split. He says Wlad's offer of 50-50 and no options isn't good enough, he wants ALL the PPV revenue (Wlad is on free TV in Germany).
Is that how you negotiate with an undisputed champion?
You'd think 50-50 is a more than fair offer from Wlad.
On paper of course the offer is more than fair. He's fighting for numerous world titles.
But the reality of the situation is the Haye doesn't need the titles. He's already a superstar in the UK with one strap, and UK PPV is where the money is. Him wanting all the PPV money from the British fans buying the fight to see him, which i'm sure will be put on by his Hayemake Promotions, is understandable from a business angle. I'm sure he told Wlad to just put the fight on PPV in Germany and take the money from that.
Even though Wlad is the real champion in my opinion, Haye is an equally large money-maker now depsite his lack of accomplishments.
Ultimately I see this fight getting made next year. Haye still wants to retire young, so he'll be wanting that megafight money, and I think Wlad is on a personal mission to fight Haye.
**** Mayweather-Pacquiao this one's going to be a ****er.
Personally though I do think Haye was the best in the division at the time, he did get up off the floor to KO Mormeck in Paris and then he beat Enzo, who at the time was considered a legitimate player in the division, know one really considered him a bum until he started losing left, right and centre, after the Haye loss.
Enzo was always a bum. Do you know how he won the WBO title? By fighting for a vacant title against a clubfighter he'd already beaten.
A clubfighter with a losing record, Lee Swaby, who fights Matt Skelton today, KOed Maccarinelli.
Haye needed to cheat to beat Mormeck. The Frenchman knocked him down, and Haye was hurt and about to be stopped when he landed a hard ILLEGAL rabbit punch to the center of the back of Mormeck's head.
Yes, but at that time he was hardly one of the big names in the division.
Haye doesn't avoid durable fighters.
He didn't avoid the titanium chinned, Valuev. Lets not forget he was the first man since the mighty Lee Swaby to dent Enzo's granite chin.
I dont think you can make a case for him not avoiding the Klitschko's.
I'm British but i'm also a realist. Haye has been acting like a *****, He doesnt deserve 50-50 to begin with. And Wladimir offered more than what he deserved, Haye is popular but there's no way he is as popular in the U.K as Wladimir is in Germany. 50-50 was fair, He wanted it done differently but he wasnt talking about this a year ago. Back then he was acting as though the Klitschko's wont fight him and that he was desperate to fight them.
This was clearly not the case. Haye only talked about the Klitschko's to enhance his own name, There's nothing wrong with talking but you have to back it up at some point.
Why can't you just intelligently respond to my post?
Why is that so difficult for you?
Why can't you read my prior post properly?
Did you miss the part where I called Lee Swaby ' mighty '? I was being so sarcastic in my other post, to the point where it was blatantly obvious. If you want to talk about David Haye, then I'm up for that.
But the discussion is one that has been posted many times before.
Haye's playing games with both brothers, keeping his options open. He won't fight Wlad or Vitali unless the reward is big enough, so until he gets a big enough reward he's going to sit back.
Realistically Haye should've fought Wlad a year ago, on the 20th June 2009. But he didn't and since then he's had to fight other fighters to build up a name in the UK. He's now a PPV fighter, where as before he was on Setanta.
