He's the one that got angry and said the fight fell apart because it was negotiated in the press.

And now he can't shut up.

The silence before the apparent contract apparently got sent over to Floyd was freakin golden.

I guess its Bob being Bob.

It would seem that he's making excuses for Floyd to not do the fight this year.

    Why would you do that?

Unless hes salivating over the idea of a Cotto or Margo(with Pac) fight.

    I want to be wrong.

But, is obvious Jr has better chemistry with Roger.

I just don't take what a lot of haters/nuthuggers say on here seriously.
Yes I should start doing the same.

I also wish that he'd shut it for now. He's not doing Manny any favors by saying all these things. Heheh. Maybe he's tapping into his inner Floyd?

Yeah except you're talking about a gap of five years. WTF?

Calilloyd said it a few pages back but it bears repeating.

SINCE WHEN HAS ARUM BECOME THE SPOKESPERSON FOR MAYWEATHER'S TEAM?

Floyd is NOT the greatest fighter of all time you moron.

And Floyd has better chemistry with his uncle than he has with his dad.

The notion that you need to take a fighter from unknown into prominence in order to be a great trainer is just ******. How many fighters stick with one guy that long? And, with all due respect, Oscar was more singer than he was boxer when Floyd Sr joined the fray. While he was still a mega star, he had looked less than stellar in the ring and had been usurped by the likes of Felix Trinidad by the time Floyd Sr rolled around. It's no coincidence that his return to the grand stage came when Floyd Sr instructed him prior to round 10 of his bout against Fernando Vargas to run the combinations up the middle and finish with the hook. "Duh duh duh duh." We laughed at his words for months, man. But Oscar it led to the dramatic TKO and he and Floyd Sr never looked back. In fact, if Oscar hadn't decided to fight Floyd Jr, they would probably still be together.

so you think oscar after floyd sr. got to him was a better fighter than before sr. got to him?

oscar was 29 & had 30 plus fights. was there such a drastic change in oscar's style & results vs high caliber opponents because of sr.?

what did oscar do with sr? beat mayorga, vargas, rob strum, lose to bernard, & beat a old man in campas? grand stage my ass.

so you dont think training a fighter who didnt win anything before you got there into training him to win championships & prominence is a mark of great trainer?

why is floyd sr. not in the IBHOF as a trainer or a fighter?

who come floyd sr. has not trained a fighter into prominence?

how come floyd sr. did not train floyd jr. into title fights?

how come he was using orthodox style on the pads with ricky when ricky was facing a southpaw in pac?

so if you dont want to judge sr. skills as a trainer by my one criteria of training a unknown into prominence, how should we gauge sr. as a trainer?
