That's funny. I don't like Roy as a boxer at all, but I can tell you none of those guys were in Roy's league, bud
If none of those guys were in Roy's league can you tell me a legitimate reason why then he elected not to fight them. Dariusz Michalczewski was the linear and Ring Magazine Champ. Certainly if this man was not in Roy Jones leauge you think Roy would be willing to make concessions during the fight negotitians to prove to the world that Michalczewski was not in his league and Roy Jones was the true Lt heavy champ and not DM.
If DM was not in Roy's league why would it be such a big deal for him to go to Germany fight Michalczewski and embarrass and outclass him like you think he would in his own town. Can you answer any of these questions?
Also the most money was to be made fighting Michalczewski in Germany. If Roy Jones was so much better to Michalczewski you think it would be no prob to go to Germany and take his linear and and Ring Magazine belt and walk away with the biggest purse of his career in the process.

Did u see Tszyu and Hatton..That is y he didnt and shouldnt have gone over there....Atleast over here some where it would be a fair ref...Tszyu might have won had the fight been over here cuz he wouldnt be doing all that wrestling and elbowing and forarms and lowblows...That is y hatton wouldnt come over here to fight mayweather...It would be complete ownage....
I ain't a Roy hater or nuthugger, but his very talented...
but he did fight LOTS of bums, and did duck a lot of top guys, even if he could beat em all, but either way he fought lots of bums so you can't use that excuse..
I have a boxing book, and Merchant in it says how Roy has been talkin bout fighting at heavyweight since 1996, since then he was just waiting for a SAFE heavyweight to fight like John Ruiz...

True the only thing I think Roy ever cared about is to see how many different division titles he could claim. That is why he waited to a fighter like Ruiz to beat for a HW belt. Imagine if he fought a LL or Vitali? it would be murder people. I also think this is why he never claimed any linear Champs in any div. He was always looking ahead at the next one to go after.
Ok, first off its not ducking a fighter if they are not a draw and want to **** in the uk. If i was Roy i would say **** those fights too. Lets get real Joe Cal***ie and all of the other fighters with the exception of Gerald McClellan would give Roy any trouble. I think its funny how when American fighters dont want to fight Uk fighters there ducking but European fighters are the same way but even more pathetic.
If Roy Jones Jr was such a class above Calzaghe, McClellan Michalczewski, Benn, Eubank, Nunn, Rochigiani why was he then so reluctant to prove it. Especially when you consider such factors that he would have made more money fighting Michalczewski for instance than in any other fight in his career. It just does not check out.
In my opinion many of Roy Jones fans hold his his abilities in higher regard than Roy Jones himself does. If that is not the case Roy Jones Jr would have been willing to take the neccessary steps and risks to prove himself as champion at the weight classes he primarly fought in.
Face the fact that Roy Jones Jr was never Linear Champion at any weight class. That is very black mark on your record. Either Roy Jones lacked ambition or more likely was afraid of risks. He considered all the fighters afformentioned to be to much of a risk to fight. This is the only conclusion you can make when you consider the fact he would have also made the most money by fighting the fighters afforementioned.
You forgot what happen to Roy in the 88' oylmpics? Robbed infront of the whole world. That's why he won't fight DM because DM figts in Germany and they will favor him like they did in several fights. DM, that guy shouldn't be part of your lead arguement because he is pointless. DM was ducking RJJ for the fact otherwise he fight for a megamillion buck fight in the US but he didn't.
Graciano Rochingiani. Interm champ. It says it all. The guy fights better in the legal ring then the boxing one.
Nunn was over the hill when Roy fought.
Gerald was a freind of Roy's and they would've fought that early into their careers. They wre planning to fight when they made it big to get big fight money. McCellan would've whupped Roy's ass.
Benn was a great fighter but he lost focus and would revert to brawling.
Too dangerous to fight anyways.
Eubanks has great chance at beating Roy. Enough skill, discpline, and talent. I think roy ducked him.
Roy was too young in his career to fight the likes of Eubanks, Benn, Collins. Why risk it? The guy is so rich right now!
If i was Roy i'd be **** all yeah, I got big money, big house, big yatcht, fast cars, honeys with big TT's and bootys. Whatcha got? If he did your guys way he wouldn't have all that. That what business sense is about.
Roy is smart and doesn't want to be slurring his words and sitting at home with no money just for legacy. He pretend he does but in the end i think for Roy it's about living good.
Roy could've fought a lot of better fighters but when everyone crowns you the best without beating the best I guess take advantage of it like Roy did and fight bums at light heavy and never move up or down.
