Jones who is my top 5 favorite fighters of all time was awsome that is very true.. but theres no getting around that he would have had tough matches with Nigel Benn and Gerald Mclellan. If you have ever seen those guys fight they are something else. They defintley are not as athletic as Jones or as fast this is true but they both had better natural punching power and had iron chins. To say that he would beat both of them in his sleep is a biast statement. Im not saying Jones ducked them because we wil never fully know that but Jones vs Benn and Mclellan would be awsome fights for sureComment

Graciano Rochingiani: U really think someone with 19KOs outta 41 wins and 6 losses woulda beat a prime Roy...PLease
Michael Nunn: Got KOed By Toney..Jones Beat Toney by land slide UD
Gerald McClellan: He had 3 losses in the same Division Roy was cleanin out....
Nigel Benn: This dude never fought outta England or whatever...lol Duckin who? Why should Roy go over there...There was more money for him here...
Chris Eubank: Besides his 1st 5 fights he never fought over here also...Once Again why does Roy Gotta go over there?
Steve Collins: Lost to Mike McCallum..Roy Beat...Lost to Reggie Johnson..Roy beat 120-106 on all cards
Joe Cal***gie: Wont even come over here to fight Lacy...What makes u think he woulda to fight Jones...I cant till Lacy Destroys this overhyped bumComment

I have mine. I wil just leave it there.
JuyJuy is gonna come on here at like 4AM and rip you a new ******* though. I think Jones like I said would have more probably beat Michalczewski but Dariusz would definitely have a chance in the fight and Jones should have fought him if he wanted to hold the linear and Ring Magazine Lt Heavywelt Titles.
And he should have fought under Michalczewski's terms (especially if he was confident) because Michalczewski drew more gate money in Germany than Jones in the US, and was the true Champion.Last edited by The Troll; 07-08-2005, 12:10 AM.Comment

Roy wanted to fight mike tyson. He ended up beating ruiz. Why the **** would he duck anyone on that list. Roy likes money, and the only thing he'll duck is a fighter that can't put the asses in the chairs.
Putting mccallum on your list proves your ******.Comment

IF Jones wanted money he would have fought guys like Michalczewski in Germany and not mailmen and newyorkcity cops on HBO. That just shows what a freakshow Jones is. Calling out Tyson and **** at heavyweight when he would not even fight the top guys from 160 to 175.Originally posted by leather knuckle sandwichRoy wanted to fight mike tyson. Ps I hope you enjoy that redbar you got going for yourself now. Making a prick of yourself on your first post.
You are probably an alter-ego of somebody else anyway though.

Michael Nunn- Watch that fight with Toney it was one of the best Ive seen, really close fight Toney landed a thunderous shot and dropped Nunn late.. That doesnt take away from Nunns skill. But I would agree with you on this one Roy wins.
Gerald McClellan- Beat Julian Jackson who was an awsome fighter with a hell of a punch. He was on his way up the division tearing up the ranks before Benn brutally stopped him. His losses were during his younger years.. he turned his career around.
Nigel Benn- Even if he fought in England or not his whole career just look at the guys resume..After being in so many wars and having great fights with Chris Eubank twice (one loss, one draw.. could have gone either way) Beat the likes of Henry Wharton awsome fighter who could throw possibly the best left hook I have seen in a while. Beating McClellan was an awsome figth which ended in tragedy. No taking away how good Benn was.Comment

IF Roy Jones was confident about beating all these guys McClellan, Benn, Eubank, Michalczewski, Nunn, Rochigiani, you would think he would be willing to make concessions on the fight negotiations as Mayweather was with Gatti..dont you you think.Originally posted by DiegoFuegoName one guy Roy ducked that actually had a chance of beating him...you can't.
It seems Roy Jones fans have more faith in his abilities than Roy Jones Jr himself.Last edited by The Troll; 07-08-2005, 12:11 AM.Comment

Fan or no fan, Roy Jones was not the big risk taker top fighter in this era. Sure, Jones could've won those fights. But that's not the point. The point is those fights were never made, period. BTW, I'm neither a fanboy or a hater. And that's probably one of the reason I don't come here as often as before.
