He has one good win and that's Martinez and that was controversial at best. The win over Winky is way overrated as he was coming of a lenghty layoff and fighting at an advanced age.

Also Dawson is debateable.Wins over 40 year olds doesn't cut it me. His best win is Adamek and that is some time back.

To me personally I have an issue with Rold ranking Dirrell above Kessler in the p4p rankings. How can he be over Kessler? That's terrible rankings. Kessler has a long string of waaayyy better wins than Dirrell and he beat the man who beat Dirrell. Dirrell has only a single win over a world class guy and that's AA and the latters resumé at 168 is clearly below that of Froch.
Who said he's over Kessler? The last category is guys who could 'be here shortly' and mostly is younger talent lacking in big wins but, clearly, high in talent who have upcoming opportunities which COULD see them make moves. It's not like a top twenty and there is no designation there.

Ah ok then. I definetely agree that Dirrell is a major talent. I always thought the names you mentioned below the top 10 was some kind of un-ordered second tier players, so thanks for clarifying that it's merely a prospect watch.

Paul Williams is overrated... an anorexic light heavyweight starvin' down to fight smaller fighters because he lacks punching power and defense. He IS NOT p4p caliber. His best win is a past prime semi-retired Winky Wright. Struggled against B level boxers like Cintron and Martinez. Suffered a clear loss to C level Quintana.

Now really who is facing the better opposition? The versions of ODLH and Hatton Floyd fought were much better than the ones Manny fought. I don't even think that's up for dispute at this point. So let's cross those two off the list. Historically SSM is greater than Cotto-----> anyone care to argue??. Cotto beat SSM in a close fight, however Pac fought Cotto after he was annihilated by Margo and was in a tough fight with Clottey. Floyd fought Shane after he destroyed Margarito. Baldomir far greater than Diaz and he was lineal champ. Floyd schooled JMM.

          Looking at "when" and "who"

ODLH & Hatton (PBF) > ODLH & Hatton (PAC)

SSM > or = to Cotto

Baldmoir and JMM = to Clottey & Diaz

So in reality Floyd's last 5 have been better than Manny's all things considered.
I can give the Oscar that Floyd beat is better than the one the one that Pac beat. Even though both Oscar version of Oscar was old and done. I can see how anybody can have that win as better.

However, Hatton? No.... That was the same damn Hatton nothing more,
          nothing less.

          Hatton for Floyd=Hatton for Pac.

As far as skill goes, Baldomir @ 147=Diaz @ 145

          At 147 Clottey>JMM

And, I will give the edge to the Shane win>Cotto but that can be debated...

I just can't see anyway how P-Will can be over Dawson. I try to figure a way but can't see it...

            Better resume-Dawson

            P4P better skills overall=Dawson

                2 glaring problems.

                1. I was unaware that Joe Calzaghe was dead. Until the man is beat give him the respect he deserves and put him at number 1. And dont give me the "hes retired" Joe aint retired, he's waiting for some competition.

                2. No Wlad=fail. Sorry, but there isnt a fighter on that list who is dominating their division like Wlad dominates his. To me thats the definition of P4P,how well you do against people your weight, not how Floyd would do if he had his speed/quickness/skills and weighed 250 lbs. Only way you can determine p4p is to look at what you do against guys your size.

                  Terrible list.

Why is boxingscene prejudiced against Eastern European fighters?

The dominant Eastern European world champions Wlad, Vitali, Bute and Adamek are all top 10 p4p fighters.

Boxingscene does not rank heavies in the p4p list.

Cliff appears to be suffering a debilitating case of white guilt, unfortunately.
