HOW IS HE THE #1 ATHLETE IN THE SPORT?

      FACTS
He doesnt make more than floyd.
He doesnt sell more pay per views that floyd.
He doesnt have the all time payperview fight.
He makes less than floyd via teh same opponents (delahoya, hatton etc.
He hasnt beaten the #1 welterweight.
Even in a lot of p4p status charts a man with no belt (floyd) is still considered #1.

MANNY IS SIMPLY EXCITING TO YOU.

HELL LEBRON IS EXCITING TO WATCH, BUT HE WASNT PLAYING LAST NIGHT NOW WAS HE?

Floyd has never had an opponent post-De La Hoya that was in a level popularity wise like Clottey. A fighter who carries no name recognition among casual fans like Mosley and Oscar, nor have a solid boxing fanbase like Hatton and Marquez.

Berto and Martinez, like Clottey does not carry those distinctions which makes them a difficult sell as a B side for Floyd. Even Oscar could only muster 500K PPV buys when he fought Mayorga, who I consider the same case as Clottey.

Thats what I am saying, whomever did the most buy, will obviously generate the most revenue.

PLUS THE CHERRY ON TOP IS THAT MAYWEATHER JUST BEAT MOSLEY THE EX #1 RANKED WELTERWEIGHT.

          MAYWEATHER DESERVES MORE!

PLUS ONCE AGAIN MAYWEATHER GROSSES/EARNS/BRINGS IN MORE CASH THAN PAC.

This news is bogus because it did not name the source of the news! I think a news such like this should be banned because it would just derail the on-going negotiation between these 2 camps! We should wait for the final out come of the negotiation before we'll fire our side by side comment if there are.

Anyway, Pac will have to fight someone else because I dont think he can accept anything less than 50%. His got an ego too. And if the PPV buys closely reach the 1.4 Million (say 1.2 or 1.3) that Floyd/Mosley made, then the pressure is back on Floyd to get another 1 Million plus buys. But you have to consider that the fighters Floyd need to fight to get that type of revenue is with Top Rank. The fighters that would make a good B side for Floyd is not with Golden Boy. There is not much money that can be made in fighting guys like Berto or Martinez..
I think if PBF fights Martinez for the middleweight championship that will generate at least 1.5 mill. That fight can be marketed very well and it will presented as PBF's greatest challenge regardless of Manny.
