Because he sells more ppv buys. The same way Manny got more than Cotto even though Manny "didnt have the belt"

Add on to that Manny isn't the biggest money maker in the sport and he isn't even the consensus P4P #1 on all lists. So why is it OK for Manny to be like hell no to 60/40 (I think PBF should get a bigger share but not by that much) when the circumstances are the same as when PBF and De la Hoya were trying to make a rematch except they have never fought?
Not really directed at you.
For the record I feel 60/40 in favor of PBF is asking for too much!!!!!!!

Mayweather deserves a bigger cut, but not a 60%-40% cut. Pac is probably the biggest star in boxing. He packed Cowboys stadium with over 50,000 people and he was fighting someone nobody has ever heard of. His last 4 fights have all been around 1,000,000 PPV buy rate. Floyd has done better and that's why he deserves a bigger cut. IMO, 55%-45% is fair. Remember, PAC doesn't need Floyd and Floyd doesn't need him. PAC can make his $25 million fighting Margarito in Dallas. Floyd can make his $30 million fighting whoever. In monetary terms, these guys don't need each other. This fight is about legacy. Who has been the best fighter in the past decade? This fight is about revitalizing the sport of boxing. Most importantly, this fight is about us fans who deserve it. For about 10 years I've been shelling out my $50 to watch ****ty undercards and disapointing main events. Mayweather vs De La Hoya comes to mind.(BTW If you honestly believe Floyd is more enjoyable to watch than PAC you're ****ing blind. If every fighter fought like PAC does, boxing would be the biggest sport in the world.) Bottomline, I'm an admitted PAC fan. I hope he knocks Floyd the **** out. That being said, Floyd has produced better numbers and deserves a bigger share. Not 60%-40% bigger. That's insulting. 55%-45% is the way to go.

So in turn why would people on here say PBF was should just accept whatever was offered because De la Hoya was the number on money man in the sport and it is more money than PBF would ever make anyway!!

Pac fans don't care. I could point out Frazier (much to his displeasure) had to accomodate Ali in their second fight. He didn't seem to understand why as the winner of the previous fight he didn't get the bigger split.
In this sport the man with the bigger numbers backing up his claim gets the biggest split. It's thas simple. The ODLH vs PBF example you used sums it up nicely.

Pacquiao on the the other hand has never really made as much money as Floyd. His ppvs are not greater,he also took a rubbish fight in fighting Clottey and his brand value fell as a result. This is why 60-40 is only fair. The 50 000 people Pacquiao packed in the Cowboys stadium mean nothing because the people paid $25 to get in,what matters is the revenue those people generated.

told you......they don't understand the history of the sport....and even if they did they wouldn't care. They would still say dumb **** just like that.
Manny takes advantage of his fans blind loyalty and ******ity....he knows his fans will never place any blame at his feet if this falls through because of his unwarranted greed. At least Floyd's greed is warranted. He has all the evidence toi back his greed up.

this really isnt suprising. floyd had to ask for a bigger split, he kinda deserved it. as long as this hasnt officially stalled negotiations, its all good. i have no stake in who gets the bigger share, even if floyd deserves it. i do have a stake in seein a great fight tho, so make it happen!
