What I dont understand is that after last negotiations it was 50/50, now PAC thinks it will be the same even after he picked shane to beat mayweather??

Doesnt make any sense??? Mayweather just beat the #1 welterweight in the world, and pac had just beat a man that shouldnt even be in the top 5 because he hasnt won a fight in a while (clottey) I hope honestly pac isnt trying to use his "FIGHTER OF THE DECADE" AS LEVERAGE..... LOL!

One of them just beat the # 1 welterweight in the world....

And one of the didnt want to fight him, even at a catchweight.

I say the one that just beat the # 1 welterweight and did more buys gets more money.

that's irrelevant. Opponents are irrelevant. All that matters is who generates the most revenue.

Here's the deal.. Floyd has the upper hand in the negotiations right now, which Team Pac lost when they fought Clottey. On a business standpoint it was not a good move. But being a boxing fan, it was the best fight they could make after the negotiations collapsed.

Anyway, Pac will have to fight someone else because I dont think he can accept anything less than 50%. His got an ego too. And if the PPV buys closely reach the 1.4 Million (say 1.2 or 1.3) that Floyd/Mosley made, then the pressure is back on Floyd to get another 1 Million plus buys. But you have to consider that the fighters Floyd need to fight to get that type of revenue is with Top Rank. The fighters that would make a good B side for Floyd is not with Golden Boy. There is not much money that can be made in fighting guys like Berto or Martinez..

but if money seem sto be the only thing stopping ths fight according to this article then its safe to say that mannys ass is in the check cashing business as well.

            CANT HAVE IT BOTH WAYS.

ONE IS JUST HONEST ABOUT IT.

"Manny doesn't fight for money, he just wants to please the fans. He isn't like that coward Gayweather who only fights for money" - Manny fans

**looks back at the Hatton and Oscar negotiations, NOW this one, leaves thread**

BTW, Ronnie needs to stop it!

floyd would sell over a million ppvs fighting either berto or martinez. its true. and even if cotto is with top rank, i doubt he'll let arum turn down a potential fight with floyd if it is offered.

good post. i agree. The only way Pac will get parity is if:

                  1. Floyd gives it to him

                  2. He fights Margarito in Dallas. I can't see Pac doing 1 million plus with any other fighter right now.

if i was Floyd's team and this falls through i would call cotto and offer him 40%. Let Pac fight SSM, Margarito or JMM!!!!!
