NSAC hasn't caught ANYONE on EPO so what are you talking about? Read the question again, apply it to WADA and then see if you can come up with the right answer this time.Comment

Well, they'll never jump from 0 to 100% participation in a new testing program. It would be phased in. Why not start at the top? Plus you have the issue of what other states do and whether they'll cooperate with the USADA or whatever other outsourced testing body. Boxing is not like baseball that has a commissioner to represent the sport in the country. The cheats will move to whatever state lets them fight with the least amount of testing. I'm sure none of the promoters, Golden Boy included, have any real interest in cleaning up the sport.
And thats another part of the problem.
Imo, the only ones who can make a dent in all this seeing as there are no leagues and whatnot,
are the sanctioning bodies who rank and title these fighters. Make them become a part of the process. For instance, if you want to fight and be ranked in the WBC, you subject yourself to year round random testing. If not, go fight for the IBF ranks and titles who doesn't have the same protocol.
There are solutions, but its going to take tons of work.
Singling out one fighter is never going to do it because all that is, is discrimination.Comment

An external contract formed by boxing stakeholders (promoters, networks, sanctioning bodies, state commissions) with USADA would have 100% coverage on a sliding scale. This means all pro boxers can be tested, but it's likely the top 5% will be the ones who get tested given the practicalities of testing every participant-----> you can't.
However testing for all championship fights and frequent testing of the "faces" and "stars" of boxing maintains the sports integrity.
Everyone on here is essentially trashing it because it is not perfect and won't test 100% of all participants....and this is their justification not to have it. This is true. this is reality..it won't test everyone.....however the current "inferior" system doesn't either.........so i don't understand your argument. Your arguing to keeep the current system in place over a better one, because the better one isn't PERFECT!!!!!!
1) it should not be on a sliding scale, it should be randomized so that all boxers get the benefit of knowing their opponents are clean.
2) champions and "faces" and "stars" shouldn't be the only one to benefit from this change. that decreases the integrity of the sport because it creates an unequal playing field for those who are not champions, faces or stars. but no doubt the new testing will be featured in high profile fights at some point.
3) I say change to the less inferior testing, but change it so that the benefits are for all, not just a few.Comment
