Wow, even Steward himself said that Cotto got there for a reason and that he did not want to make big changes, he just helped him get his old self back on track for his confidence and his balance!!!! That's all so far. It's too soon to work with a fighter and change him. Trainer needs to be there for a while.

      What is is miracle grow?

What do these trainers expect from a guy making a debut at '54 and coming off a harsh loss?

Steward did some tweeks thats all.Fundamental key changes.I believe down inside he will give margarito a rematch.Yes i said it,GIVE margarito the rematch.Aside if it does go down expect cotto to hand out an oscar winning boxing clinic just how he was doing in rounds 1-6 on the 1st fight.I would like a match up before he does go against margarito.Just to get the true feel at 154 and really see whats he about on his title defense.

He's got to get back to the fighter he was when he beat Mosley. Truth is he did pretty damned well, I mean just 2 weeks ago Cotto was a "shot" fighter and now few are holding that view.

He still has schit to work on, his right is still not right, but the left hook and left uppercut are back to being vicious with the improved balance.

You can say what you want about Cotto just "recovering" his weapons or whatever it may be. The bottom line is Stewart had Cotto well prepared and his man broke down a bigger, undefeated champion. Stewart is the right man for Cotto right now, do not change corners in the middle of this JMW run! Only agree to fight Pac at 154, NO CATCH WEIGHT. Make Pac truly earn any accolades he recieves. And u know under those circumstances its a 50/50 fight. But I wanna see Cotto get another win against another quality JMW before we start talking Pac rematch.

Trinidad senior is as overrated as they come. I love Tito's personality but his footwork is as horrible as they come and his overall defense was average at best. I did not see Trinidad Sr. improve these weaknesses over Tito's career and it caught up to him, he got exposed as a pretty one-dimensional fighter which was bailed out in many fights by his KO power. If it was not for this Tito would never had gotten as far as he did. This is coming from a rican in the island.

There are many examples of PR fighters much more fundamentally sound that Tito, it's just that Tito is loved more for his charisma, nothing to do with his boxing abilities. Calderon, Cotto, Gomez, Benitez are just some examples of local fighters technically superior to Tito.

I love these clowns trying to bag on Steward and Cotto. First off Steward was supposed to only fine tune Miguel and get him back to basics, which he did. Miguel worked the jab better and used effective body work, Manny did his job. Secondly, people saying it was a good matchup for Miguel, ummmmmmmm.........wasn't everyone saying this was an awful matchup for him a week ago. Gotta love when people are completely wrong so they try to make up ****. **** all these guys. This is why you are training Collazo and Calderon. Two guys that no one really cares about. That's why Manny is looked at as one of the greatest and you are just riding his ***ing coat tails.

These trainers are ******ed then. Cotto actually doubled up on his jab often and tripled it in some cases, showed better footwork and more functional movement, and didn't stand so squared up. His stance was more "correct." These guys don't know what they're talking about.

It's more of a "refurbished" cotto, not a new cotto. He stuck to his gameplan plus he RESPECTS steward. If he can just improve his D more, cuz if slow azz foreman was getting thru with them rites, better fighters will get thru and especially come with more power. It's hard to gauge the steward experiment against foreman , but Overall a success , hope he stays with cotto and cotto needs to stop being stubborn.
