You're actually comparing those two ppv's when Cotto who at that time was still regarded as one of the top WW despite his lost to Marg. There's no secrect that Cotto is by far the more popular fighter and bigger draw than JMM, it's not even a comparison. And yet Manny vs Cotto only beat Floyd vs JMM by 150k. C'mon bro, your reaching. The fact is and all *****s would attest to this, that even before the first negotiations, that Floyd outdraws Manny by a mile, not even close overall. Compare the common fights between the two and you'll see the big difference. Between the fights with DLH and Hatton. Just stop, this argument of yours is weak at best. The fact is that you'll justify Floyd for not making this happen due to the 50/50 split but you would'nt do the same for Manny with the drug test issue. Which is fair IMO because that is your opinion. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Once again a PAC fan with an idealized version of how economics in sports work. Sure PAC is at the top of his popularity and is beloved by a lot of people now which is why he can have a 50/50 split. However, in all reality these splits aren't decided on who has more awards and accolades. Its not a matter of opinion its a matter of who generates more revenue point blank bull**** aside. Sorry buddy, you've totally lost me. You seem as if you're saying that Mayweather is clearly the bigger draw, but Pac is justified in asking for a 50/50 split. That doesn't make any sense.

As for the USADA testing, I feel its more of a moral issue than anything else. In any other walk of life, Pac would be labeled an illegal drug user for the stance he's taking. But, its not something he's required to do by the boxing commission, so he has the right to refuse. IMO, he's very fortunate that he's taking this stance againts Mayweather instead of a more popular figure. Because I promise you, if he took this stance with Cotto or someone like that that's a fan favorite, he'd be getting crucified by the media and fans.

Before the first negotiation and during the first negotiation, Mayweather's camp claimed to be the bigger draw with more ppv #'s but still agreed to the 50/50 split, that's a fact. It is also a fact and i do agree that Mayweather was the bigger draw before the first negotiations, during, and after. Why changed that now if that same situation and claims has not changed. Floyd is still the bigger draw during the first negotiations and he still is the bigger draw right now, during this second negotiations. So what's the excuse and reason to change the split if the situations have not changed.

The economics in boxing is not what i'm talking about. I'm simply saying that Floyd agreed to the 50/50 split back then when he was already the bigger draw, and he still is right now, so why changed the 50/50 split if it is still the same predicament right now.

well, maybe ur not smart enough to look at the big picture. Floyd was fighting a guy who held a World Championship and who came off a career best performance by knocking down a brick wall without it's brick wraps. not to mention the whole anticipation that happened in the ring after *** boy floyd beat marquez. Pacquiao on the other hand was fighting a guy coming off a loss, who didnt hold a title. that right there is enuff why floyd's PPV did better. Not to mention no one wanted to fight clottey, only cotto because he fights pretty much everybody. and clottey was pushed back virtually the whole fight even though cotto only had one eye. he's not exciting enough for anyone want to see.

Now on the other hand, how many PPV's has floyd headlined? and how many has pac. Pac has pretty much doubled the amount of PPV headlines that floyd has done. Who's more satisfied after the fight...some one who watches a pac fight, or a floyd fight? Obviously the guy who watches the pac fight. Pac sold more in house tickets in one fight than floyd does in 2 to 3 fights on average. Floyd has never sold 50,000 tickets. Cotto-Pac and Floyd-Shane ere competitive as far as buys go. So add that considering everything stated above...50-50 purse is more than fair. Also with Pac being Number 1 Lb for Lb-A and Floyd being number 1 Lb for Lb-B. yea anything other than 50-50 is absurd.

but Floyd is scared. Pac has now agreed to the 14 day cut off, the venue Floyd wanted and the gloves Floyd wanted, because pac actually wants to fight. 14 day cut off i thought was a fair offer and still is, if floyd changes it now he may well have to take the blame if the fight never happens, floyd and mosley never even gave blood post 18 days before their fight as far as i know. If floyd really wants to clean up the sport he should demand all year round testing. I think floyd should focus on maybe getting 55% of the money, which i think is more reasonable and he may deserve that it could be argued

did anyone notice how big Pac's head looked during the cotto/Foreman fight, its huge just like Barry Bonds. It looked slightly bigger than the fighters/ref who were closer to the camera.

I know Mayweathe demands alot, but the truth is that if pac has nothing to hide then why worry about a 14 day cut off and go along with testing up on til' fight time if needed, mayweather is lso being tested. And the reason might be that if you use peds the right way and gradually come off the cycle there's no way to get caught and thats what they're probably looking to do. I was a big Pac fan and i really dislike mayweather, but when i saw Pac run through Diaz, Delahoya, Hatton Cotto and Clottey easier then the fighters at the lower weight class, i wasn't buying it. Also, especially the way that they went after Delahoya and Cotto, Delahoya was a shot and drained fighter fighting in a weight he hadn't been at in years and asking Cotto to drain himself and the way he took punches form Cotto with disregard. It all adds up to a phony and the sad part is that it'll be about 8 or 10 years when word of Pac being dirty comes out and by then it means nothing and those he beat will have to accept it and Cotto would have been beat by two cheats that damaged his career from being a better one.

When I say, IN THE RING, I'm not talking about beauty contest awards, so I could care less about the FOY and FOD awards. If you want to talk 7 titles, fine, let's talk about them. Pac's 7 titles is hogwash, to an extent. He's flat out won paper trinkers at 122, lightweight, and welterweight. I think his record of 4 lineal titles is far more impressive. But if you comare that to Mayweather, Mayweather has won 3 lineal titles himself and he's actually beaten more reigning lineal champions (5) than Pac. So once again, what has Pac done IN THE BOXING RING that Mayweathr hasn't.
