yes moron that is the only reason he stuck with it and if many atg's from the past started at the same age as pac they would have probly got just as many belts or more. you are a complet idioit if you dont think duran started at age 16 he would have not gotten that many belts then you are really on that crackReally? That is the only reason huh? Why are you guys such idiots? When did you guys started watching boxing?
How many fighters have started early? Matter of fact how many great fighters have started in their teens, and I mean HOF'ers and ATG's, how many of them won a lineal title by the age of 19?
And, name all of them cuz the list is very short.Comment

He was alot better then Mosley. Just because he didn't look all that good against Mayweather doesn't mean he wasn't good. When faced against Floyd, someone who's known for taking away your best assets; your bound to look bad. Just surprised at the fact that you think Spinks or Dzinziruk would have beaten him, Oscar was able to cut off the ring against Mayweather. Who is to say he wouldn't do the same against Spinks and stop him? Dzinziruk also has a leaky defense. No no no no no..... Not the 2007 part time fighter, full time promoter version of Oscar.
What makes you think he would have? Because, he KO'd a guy who chin got ruined by Tito a year before?
And, does Mayorga have the style of Spinks and Dzinziruk? Or does Mayorga have the size of Dzinziruk?
Did Oscar have the stamina to beat Spinks or Dzinziruk?
What made the 2007 version of Oscar so good? Other than a whole year before scoring a KO of a guy who got his chin ruined by Tito.
And, a matter who has Mayorga beating above 147 that made him any good at 154? They only guy he beat was a shot Vargas.
This is what I am talking about when I say Oscar is the most overrated fighter in the last 10 years. People in the last decade had looked at him and tough about him as the Oscar of the 90's but he wasn't. He wasn't as hungry or as good period. He was not active, he wan only a part time fighter, full time promoter.
During this whole decade. Oscar famous left hook only showed up in two fights. Against both fighters who got ruined by Tito.Comment

first of all you are in no position to comment on floyds career, you werent around for it, you havent researched it and generally speaking, youre a moron, so you shouldnt be commenting outside of pacquiao in the first place. If floyd fought in a professional when he was 16 years old i don't even think he could become what he is today, floyd was carefully brought up and manage. Pac in the age of 16 was already in a professional fights and become a lineal champion in the age of 19 years old while floyd was still the amateur and still learning and fighting bums so that he will be ready in a professional fights.
second of all, floyd wasnt carefully managed at all, he was thrown to the wolves very early in his career and basically passed every test put in front of him, there is a reason hes so revered early in his career.
Stick to pacquiao.Comment

I agree at the time 140 was weak. And, yea he was put on ***** street in two rounds by a shot Hispanic causing panic. And got saved by the ref. But, really it was only two rounds. All the other 10 rounds Hatton won and he also beat Malignaggi who was a top 10 guy. Malignaggi doesn't have the power to really keep anybody away but he still manages to win the majority of his bouts. But, he didn't against Hatton.his showing against Lazcano showed serious signs that he slowed. His fight against Malignaggi was basically his last decent performence, and i say decent because it wasnt super impressive, malignaggi didint have the power to keep him off.
Honestly at that point the only thing that made hatton the best anything at 140 is because he still maintained all the belts there, but it was clear hed lost something when Lazcano hurt him like he did.
this was at a point where i thought 140 was generally weak.
And, due to the weight-class was weak at the time. Arguable at that time Hatton was the best. The only other guy at the time that had a case over Hatton was Bradley. But, it is debatable. And, at the time when Hatton got signed Bradley hadn't even beaten Holt yet. When Bradley beat Holt a month before Pac-Hatton it was when you could have made a case for Bradley.
So to be fair at the 140 when Pac signed to fight Hatton. He was really the only option at that weight. When it got signed Bradley hadn't defeated Holt yet, he was still considered somewhat green. And, there was no other JWW at the time that you could have made a case in being better than Hatton. But, I give you it was due cuz of a weak division. But, he was arguably still the best.Comment

So you don't think ANY HOF'ers/ATG's started at the age of 16?
Out of curiosity at what age did Duran started boxing?
And, I am the idiot who is on crack? OK buddy...
I will wait for your answer.Comment

Since you know everything about floyd, could you please enlighten me what floyd had done in his amateur career?first of all you are in no position to comment on floyds career, you werent around for it, you havent researched it and generally speaking, youre a moron, so you shouldnt be commenting outside of pacquiao in the first place.

Stick to pacquiao.
Floyd was carefully managed that's the reason why he wasn't a professional in those early years compared to pac who was already a professional and a lineal champion in the age of 19.Comment

It is safe to say he had size against Floyd. So it made it easier to cut off the ring against him. Is it safe to say that he would not have the size advantage against Dzinziruk that he did against Floyd? He was alot better then Mosley. Just because he didn't look all that good against Mayweather doesn't mean he wasn't good. When faced against Floyd, someone who's known for taking away your best assets; your bound to look bad. Just surprised at the fact that you think Spinks or Dzinziruk would have beaten him, Oscar was able to cut off the ring against Mayweather. What did he do after the Floyd fight that made him a good top fighter?
What did he do before the Floyd fight besides beat a fighter who got his chin cracked by Tito that made him a good top fighter?
And, speaking of Mayorga who did Mayorga beat at 154 and above that made him valuable at that weight?
What was Oscar record in the last 4 fights prior to fighting Floyd? And, how many years did those 4 fights take place?
What the hell had he done to make you think he could have beaten Spinks or Dzinziruk.
And, the only reason he had some success against Floyd. Was because Floyd was coasting and too cautious cuz of the size.
And, I am not even convinced he was better than Shane. If Floyd was as aggressive with Oscar that he was against Shane. He would of stopped Oscar. He buckled Oscar a couple times.
The last 10 years version of Oscar is so overrated.Comment

As for the thread, Pacquiao could easily be a 9 division champion and I do mean that. He could easily take care of Spinks/ Foreman vs. Cotto winner or a weak MW titlests. The main issue I have here is that people want Pacquiao to make history facing low level opposition. A win over Paul Williams would do more for his legacy then any of these weak titlests at 154/160. How come I don't hear anyone mention Pacquiao vs. Martinez?Comment

yes you are an idiot on crack and i never said any of them didt start at that age but how many started at fly weight? duran 16 at super feather and if he would have started at fly weight he would have won just as many belts as pac.Last edited by wizard king; 06-03-2010, 06:08 PM.Comment
