Even when he was passed his prime and was behind in the cards against Hurtado. Look at how he just activated his beast mode. Dude was incredible to watch. One of my favorites in the 90's.
Chavez didn't want none of that body attack. Also fuck the commentators that night. They kept calling it low blows.

ok whitaker was a defensive wizard but is punch drunk now...how does that happen? i'm from VA and love Sweet P, but in 10 years floyd will still be a clear speaker with over 45-50 fights. I give the nod to floyd.

Check this video out. My mate showed it to me..this guy was before my time but wow i am stunned by his reflexes....watch him dodge 10 punches vs a prime oscar dela hoya...the old version gave floyd a lot of trouble.

Also floyd did well..but hey he looks much better beating an old man than a young one that's for sure.

Pernell is the man...his reflexes are insane

I'm a huge Pernell Whitaker fan so I won't argue that. They are both great defensive fighters though.

You noticed that too huh Dominicano lol? Ferdie Pacheco and the showtime crew in general was awful with the bias towards Chavez that night. But as the fight went on Whitaker forced them to give him due respect.

Past prime Whitaker got hit alot more than Mayweather ever has.

                Fixed it for you.

So did whitaker have any real losses (losses in his prime) i don't count the felix trinidad loss because he was over the hill like mosley

I can't agree with that. Their skill level is pretty comparable but I think Mayweather was the harder puncher. Whitaker was a better body puncher though.
