Cotto beat Mosley fair and square with the harder punches that snapped Mosleys head back and landed more jabs and straights. I don't know why any morons try to say Mosley won that fight. Just because Mosley beat Margarito who was emotionally ****ed up after getting caught cheating with plaster-wraps Mosley is rated above Cotto?

Beating Mosley should not rank Floyd higher then Pacquiao. Pacquiaos last two fights were against Cotto, and Clottey. Mayweather Jr's last two fights will be against midget Marquez, and Mosley. Pacquiao by far should still be p4p 1!

the did pac beat floyd isnt a valid argument. he retired, he cant come back and expect the #1 spot. but if he beats mosely in a bad way, he may just be #1. like if he destroys him i think he shld.

That's BS there. And this has nothing to do with who's P4P 1. I don't really care about that. You're basically saying Clottey is better than Mosley and that's a bunch of bunk. Don't forget that Clottey lost to the guy Mayweather beat for the title. An no matter what anybody says or tries to say, the Cotto that fought Pacquiao was not the same as the one that fought Mosley.

Assuming Floyd gets it done against Shane, I just don't think you can give Floyd #1 based on recent activity. You are comparing several very good wins from Manny, moving up in weight and fighting bigger guys, to basically Shane and Marquez a couple of divisions north of where he has been a great fighter.

I'm not necessarily saying Floyd isn't the #1 fighter p4p, just that he shouldn't be rated there based on the fights that have gone down.
again, a very valid argument. i however am rating my list on who i believe truly is the #1 p4p, not who is technically the most deserving. nothing wrong with your logic though.

Sorry, I thought the title of the thread was "will you consider him #1 P4P?" not "will the Ring consider him #1 P4P?"

                My bad.

No Floyd needs to beat Pacquiao to take the #1 spot

Don't start those ****** excuses again. Margarito is a professional prize fighter. Not a teenage girl on her period. Mosley beat him up legitimately.
