    That is where we differ.

I'm not cool with looking at physical dimensions and what not.

They are regularly fighting in the same division - they are the same size. That is my opinion.

a win against shane is a GREAT win and floyd will get all the credit from me if he beats shane. but, in order for him to be #1 again, he needs to beat pac or pac should retire from boxing

LOL Mayweather retired and the spot went to an active fighter, Mayweather came back and beat a featherweight. But before Mayweather retired I kept questioning, how can Mayweather be the best lb4lb if he isn't the best at his own weight?

floyd & manny even though they are now in the same division, i personally dont feel pacquiao is a real welterweight. I thought he was already pushing it at 140. manny started at 106 floyd at 130. that's a big difference. this whole p4p classification was made on the hypothetical match between both fighters if they were the same size & its decided by resume, skill, activity, caliber of opponents fought & just a overall body of work. obviously pacquiao & mayweather are not the same size so you have to put the other intangibles in play to decide the rankings.

If both fighters were the same size i would favor pacquiao. but they are not.
Mayweather is a little bigger, but keep in mind Pac hits harder. Were Pac the same size, it still wouldn't change the fact that Mayweather's more skilled, and it wouldn't change the fact that stylistically, Mayweather would be all wrong for Pac. Pac could be the same size, or ODLH sized, and would still be outboxed. At the end of the day, Mayweather and Pac share 4 weight classes, and Mayweather would most likely win H2H in all of them. But of course, Pac's better P4P.

He needs to fight 1 or 2 guys who are favored to beat him or who at least make the odds respectable or who is P4P before we can hand this P4P over to him.

            Not before!
name 1 fighter that would be favored to beat mayweather though...thats within weight range of course.

Otherwise it's too close to call and I just consider them 1a and 1b.
              ill cosign this

Barrera is not a better fighter than Mosley and never was. Mosley is faster, punches harder, has a better chin, and better defense. There is nothing Barrera has ever done better than Mosley. Ever.

If they fight in same division they are both welterweights. Period.
