I watched the marge/mosley fight live and thats the only time Ive seen it but I had the fight scored pretty close til like the last 3 rounds where mosley just started doing the same repetive combonations that margacheato had no answer for... and who knows where marge's head was after they took the bricks out of his gloves...

Not only that but Cheato took a hell of a beating in the Cotto fight. Both guys were damaged in that fight on top of Cheatogate.

I know he isn't a bum, but he also wasn't as regarded as Hatton was at the time, in essence Hatton tested his mettle at welterweight and went life and death with a guy that is no where near the talent level of Mayweather. I'm only using Collazo for comparison purposes, I agree he is a work horse. Hatton proved in that fight that he didn't belong at 147. My point is that if you struggle against Collazo, what do you think is going to happen when you face a guy on the talent level of Mayweather at 147?

AT THE TIME Gatti was NOT considered past it. Not NOW, after the fight has taken place. I'm talkin bout AT THAT TIME, leading up to the Mayweather vs. Gatti match. It's wild how barely no one on here(the threads) remembers what the atmosphere was like before these fights and what the "talking heads" in and around Boxing where talking about AT THAT TIME, it seems that all ya'll remember is what is said AFTER the fight after some "experts" pre-fight anylasis has been disproven, and ripped to ****.

I was too young for Leonard-Hagler to remember honestly, but Holyfield-Bowe definitely did...I think we r in for a classic here in two weeks...I really love the KO of Hatton but you are right that DLH fight didnt live up to the hype at all...

Yeah Ive been saying this for over a year now, their battle was epic but it tool a toll on both of them mentally and physically... I'm glad margacheato moved up in weight cuz the punisher will finish him off

definitely, people get wowed by his KOs so they get a little carried away with manny's ACTUAL accomplishments. IMO, he still has plenty to prove. he needs to settle in at WW and clean out as much as he can... but he will get NOWHERE if he cant/wont take the tests and move forward. what manny does after the winner of floyd/shane is crucial...

Mayweather will win, but you can't question Shane's heart, it's an intangible quality. Sugar sought rematches against naturally bigger men twice, so it's hard to question his toughness. Getting inside on Mayweather is difficult at best, once you do you're lost when he goes into the shoulder roll and counters everything like he did against Oscar, you either end up hitting arms, gloves or shoulders all while he can see it coming.

Mosley has speed and power, how much speed is the question because at times in the past few years he has looked horrid, but it's hard to tell, maybe he is capable of getting up for one last great performance.

May is very good to great in every single department, from offense to defense the man is as instinctively talented as they come. The only question left is can he take a flush punch like the type that Mosley can deliver, something tells me he can but it's the only question that has a path to victory for Mosley. Mayweather by UD, but I've been wrong before.

I have to say I think your wrong again.Thing about Mosley is he'll is take the arm's if that's what your giving him.He will punch arms body whatever.I do think May is great in just about every area.But I want to see him fight another elite fighter who has good boxing skill and who is not past it.He did beat Hoya but IMO Shane is better then Hoya.
