I dont hate him at all. I just think he is very, very overrated (and was beaten by Collazo in my mind). Ive seen every one of his tv fights, and I think a top level guy kills him. He has speed, but thats about it.

Doesn't matter to me if he's not the best. Like it's been said he's fast and ain't afraid to throw which makes for an entertaining fight, and I'd rather watch an exciting fight than Mayweather potshot his way to a UD.
He's moving along slowly but damn people act like fighting southpaws is an easy thing to do. U can't out jab them, the only thing that works is a hard right hand and to move in the direction of their left hand. He's got time on his side he's only 26

He is a great athlete but not the most skilled boxer,
and hasn't gotten better since i have seen him.

If you don't like Berto and think any random welter beats him fine. But the truth is he would most likely beat any welter besides Floyd, Pac, and as of right now Shane. Yes, that includes Cotto. And after I recieve my points from Berto's latest win, I'd be willing to bet on him in just about any fight he could get this year. If he keeps beating top guys, your hate means very little.

People just need a reason to hate. Who know's why?

Being critical in a fair way and skeptical about him as an elite fighter seeing as he is ALWAYS rather unimpressive even in winning all of his recent fights = hating, ok then bye now

You've got jokes. Mike Jones hasn't beat a welter as good as Cosme Rivera or Estada. He had to take a step up in class to fight a welter Henry Brussels. Collazo knows what would happen in a rematch, which is why he didn't take it the first time. Hope he wins vs Adyin so one has to happen. Hope Berto stops him too, because if not, they'll just be endless whining like the first time, where I think he lost BTW. A Clottey fight is interesting I'll give you that. He could beat Berto, same as he may have beaten Cotto.

im not joking. i believe all 4 beat him.
-mike jones is too big and too skilled for him. jones is more skilled and versatile than berto will ever be.
-antwone would out work him. he keeps his hands free, has better stamina and hits harder.
-i thought collazo won the first match and i dont think berto's improved much since, so collazo takes the rematch.
-clottey sharp shoots him and berto gasses trying to crack the shell with bombs and shoe shines.

but yeah, outside of them and the top of the division, berto beats everyone at 147. i wont even get into how i think he'd fare against some of the top 140 lbers.

Clottey's the only one with a chance. Jones is a Joke who has beat anyone. He'd be stopped, and if they ever fought, I'd be glad to bet you. Made a thread asking for peeps to show how Collazo was robbed, but it was ducked. But please, do tell how Berto would do against the top of the 140 divison. Presumeably Bradley and Alex. Alex weighted 147 fight night vs Urango. Berto weighted 153. Some fair fight. How do you see it playing out. The Urango fight was getting worse for Alex until the K.O. The Q fight was getting better for Berto until the stoppage. I think Berto would go seek and destroy on Alex, and stop him late. What do you think?
