Do You Think Old School Fighters Get Overrated?

I guess the cat is out of the bag now. I knew everybody knew who it was except burner. He was the last one to figure out it was me.....
& he had the nerve to make a thread bragging about how he was the last one to figure out it was me.
LOL.
sorry jab, my exquisite hate got the best of me. shadows, you hate the red sox too?
cant stand those whiney b*tches. cant take their losing like a true fan.
It all good my man. But Im a Red Sox fan, you fucker!!!Comment

we cool jab, but bolt is a revolutionary & evolutionary spritner & olympic athlete. His physical dimensions (his height) is new to the game. It doesnt matter what shoes owens wore or what steroid he took. He is not beating bolt.
Its your privilege to voice your opinion here. But try doing it with facts and logic to back it up. So far you have provided none. Records are made to be broken. That doesn't mean athletes as a whole are better now than than. Pick a sport and I'll be happy to back this statement up.
might i add, bolt is only the beginning. His success will turn track & field into searching for taller athletes in the future. The nba probably has at minimum 10-20 guys that can be turned into the next usain bolt.Comment

Have a look at them
does their bodies tell you anything about training and diet , fighters have more movement than they ever had , and across the board they punch harder , across the board they are faster , it really amazes me that you feel that boxing is the only sport on earth that has not improved , thats bazaar .
I see you saying this but you're offering no proof, only your opinion. When has being ripped ever been an indication of stamina or strength? Why are heavyweights today routinely huffing and puffing after 7 or 8 rounds, while past heavies went 15 and threw many more punches?Comment

I agree that Bolt probably would beat Owens even if Jesse had the same advantages of today. But Bolt is the exception, not the norm. As a whole there isn't some huge gap in athletic ability in my opinion.Comment

At the turn of the century they went 20 rounds+ but yet the boxers of today are in way better shape...

agreed. having a great ripped physique does not equal great athleticism & stamina. just look at the klitskcho brothers, jermaine taylor, jeff lacy, more recently andre berto, all have great bodies (a dash of ****) yet are flat footed, unathletic, & had the stamina of a sissy with iron deficiency....

that being said, a great athlete with a great physique, i would reckon would have a clear advantage over a old time great with a lesser looking physique.Comment
