I have to say Jim is the one people should bag on never like him he is bias.Merchant calls it like he see's it bottom line.Berto did not look great against Quintana he showed he was not ready for a Mosley a Mayweather or a Pacmonster he told it like it is which is why I love that man.The crowd was not big he is a commentator so he comments on what he see's in N out of the ring. The bold means absolutely nothing. Just because a person is older and been around longer doesn't always mean they know more. I hate when people say **** like that. Charles Barkley is a living legend that actually "PLAYED AND DOMINATED" in the sport he is talking about. Merchant and Lampley have done nothing but sit on the sideline and talk about what other people are doing. So comparing what Barkley says about baskeball to what Merchant and Lampley say about boxing is a horrible comparison even though I get what you trying to get accross. Commentating is supposed to be unbiased and true. I never said what Merchant stated about the size of the crowd as untrue but the fact still remains that the size of the crowd in any fight has no bearing on how good or a bad a fight is. So the size of a crowd is not worth talking about. Where did the yes men comment come from? Nothing I said was about commentators always agreeing but why always be negative and why always have Lampley there who calls the fight wrong and shows a unheard bias for certain fighters as a commetator? **** makes no sense.
Of course this **** ain't serious cause it don't interfere with how I take care of mine.Comment

For the most part, the sport should be promoted. When you start demeaning a showcase fighters' popularity on HBO it's counter productive.
I like Larry Merchant and his commentary and I don't think he deserves a lot of the flack he catches here, but he's often too eager to point out the worst of the sport.Comment
