Hopkins is HBO's regular fighter so long it is against another HBO darling, and HBO just started showcasing Bute with the Andrade fight. You get 1 and 1 together, and you got yourself a regular, HBO championship boxing Main-Event.

This is Calzaghe-Hopkins-esque all over again, HBO will bite in a minute if they realize that they're gonna get to televise a fight in front of a big crowd, as long as B-hop has no problem going to Canada, which he apparently doesn't.

They'll still pick it up, they don't care about that showing. Its a Fresh-start. BHOP is still a big name and considered a legend. HBO would never turn down a fight with BHOP unless he was fighting a bum. Bute is far froma bum, he holds a belt and has fast hands and has pop to his punches.

Because that fight was messy, people written BHOP off. Most thought Pavlik would destroy BHOP at that time. I don't care if alot of ppl claim they knew BHOP was going to expose Pavlik. Most of them are liars, very few people picked BHOP to win even with Pavlik moving up in weight. BHOP was the underdog with fans and the press as far as I seen.

I basically live in Philadelphia, even tho I'm in jersey I can walk like 5 miles and be over a bridge to philly. Well, most people here picked BHOP to lose to Pavlik. When I say most, I'm talking about alot of people I worked with at that time, and lots of my family members. Even I fell into the Pavlik will destroy and finish BHOP off vibe.

I dont see him getting 3 Million vs. Bute. HBO might not even broadcast that fight.

Like someone already mentioned Hopkins/Dawson doesn't put asses in the seats anywhere. Both don't draw in their own hometown, neither have fan-friendly styles. If Ex/Bute went down Hopkins would be the biggest name to fight in Canada since what, Duran & Leonard? Bute packs the house himself and with Hopkins they'd make a huge gate.
